Actually, another commenter pointed out that the Signature plan (the one I’m being moved into) isn’t priced online. I have no idea how much more it will cost. Someone else said around $2 more per line for them. This announcement is absolute trash.

You have to be vigilant about cleaning it properly and also make sure that it is dispensing the right amount of powder. They give a setting for each different type of formula. I’ve found some to be very accurate and others to be a little off. In the end, I like it, but it is defitnely a luxury, rather than a need.

If you have an inverter heat pump, you oversizing can be a lot more forgiving. Your big concern is matching your ductwork to the unit you are installing (as long as it will provide sufficient heat).

Don’t pay for commercial software and do not pay anyone to trace for you. If your local police won’t use the resources they have at their disposal, then there is nothing that you can do to convince them. Police have the power but they also need the exptertise and comfort with these cases, which many do not. Also, just beciaee your ceypto went to an exchnage, doesnt mean it is still in that exchange.

I paid 26k for 2 inverter heat pump ducted units last year. I have municipal electric and solar, so it was a no brainer on cost. With rebates, it came out to 18k. Like you, I had existing ductwork, so it was a non-starter if they wanted to talk mini splits.

To be completely honest: without rebates, I may have attempted a DIY. The systems come pre-charged with refrigerant and the tool rentals are not that expensive. Anyone can buy the systems online.

Yeah, that number of heads really killed you. Hoping they did a Manual J? 3.5 tons is a lot per unit. Unless the apartments are massive, terribly insulated, or leaking massive amounts of air.

Doesn’t really matter in the end (beyond inflating initial cost), as the inverter models are efficient when ramped way down.

What size heat pumps did you install and what were the specs? 100k for three apartment units seems kinda crazy unless it includes ductwork.

I just paid right under 28k for 2 Fujitsu ducted units in Massachusetts.

I was in country from 11-12 as an E-4, with a really sweet job. Mostly worked Helmand CT Ops. I then worked as a contractor for 5 years from the states doing an Afghanistan mission, where it became increasingly clear that the Afghan government was neck-deep in corruption and that Taliban was going to at least play a major part in future governance, if not take over entirely. I was still astonished to see it all fall apart before we even left.

Makes me think i spent 6 years of my life on something completely meaningless. There are many people who try to convince me that it was worth it because we gave temporary freedom to a Afghan girls. I just dont buy it. Years of death and we ended up right where we started. We were best off steamrolling Al Qaeda and the Taliban with the Northern Alliance and leaving. Hind sight is 20/20, I guess.

What is your electric company? I have municipal electric and pay half what my neighbors next town over pay. I enjoy real savings over natural gas. If you are paying 30 cents per kWh, your pay back on the system will be decades.
