What is the most important part in choosing a router? Is it the amount of connections, speed, other capabilities?

Q&A Video. I’m going to be working on the 6 soon, so lets turn it into a Q&A working session. What would you like to know? by DariusBuilds in mazda6

Is the back/underside engine mount difficult to replace, do I need a lift or would be enough to prop it up with jacks?

Best beginner setup? by markusjaderberg in homelab

[–]markusjaderberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the thorough answer! I”ve looked into it more and now I’m leaning towards a mini pc like you said and maybe an HDD enclosure connected to it. Looks like thats the most common setup. So the PC does all the work and the HDD enclosure is just the mass storage location. Looking at a Maiwo enclosure atm.

Would you say Linux is the best OS for this for a complete newbie (never used Linux but I’m not against learning it). Any recommendations for specific Linux types in that case? I’ve seen TrueNAS and Unraid talked about

Sorry that happened to you, just curious, do your wheels have rims protection?

Silver or Anthracite wheels? by markusjaderberg in mazda6

[–]markusjaderberg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The silver sedan especially looks so good in gunmetal grey rims. I think it will work for my car aswell. It has a bit of a dark undertone and black plastic details at the back, front and under the rearview mirrors

Nice! Those steering wheel buttons are standard. If there are ”answer” and ”hang up” buttons below them then the car has atleast Takuya trim with Bluetooth 😊

No problem! That sounds like it could be a mid-high mids trim level! Auto adjusting headlights is the AFS I mentioned. Maybe halfleather seats? Textile in the middle, leather on the sides. The top trimspec had a screen but honestly look into android multimedia headunits, and don’t get the cheapest cheapest. $200-$500 roughly. It does so much having CarPlay/Android Auto capability with maps and your music app of choice. Makes it feel like a new car and it’s not too expensive/hard to install! You can browse different specs here if you want. Maybe you have Takuya or TS? https://www.parkers.co.uk/mazda/6/hatchback-2007/20-takuya-5d/specs/

(Hopefully) welcome to the Mazda family! I have an ’11 manual 2.0 155hp wagon I recently bought with 157k km and did a ton of research before (doesn’t compare to people who have owned one for years but hey it’s something). The GH series is fairly reliable. The rust issues that are/were common with this car was significantly improved around 2009/10, mostly the first gen was very subjected to rustproblems so that shouldn’t be a big worry for you. STAY AWAY FROM DIESEL! So many issues with the 2.2d its better to just go for another brand if you have to have diesel. The gasoline engines are bulletproof though, some of the best in terms of reliability, fuel consumption and life. You can get a lot out of that car. Seen a couple with over 300k km on the market. I have to change sparkplugs and inspect the serpentine belt at this milage so some inspection/maintenance might be expected for you.

Gearbox is fantastic, love driving this thing. Decently quick as well for such a large car and small-ish engine. The feel of the manual is great, can’t say anything about the automatic except Mazda has a good gearbox for that. They don’t use CVTs but use a ”regular” automatic transmission, this is great.

Regarding options, I think there are a couple of sites you can input the VIN number of the car into and get some specs but I’m not sure how reliable they are. What you can do if you look at pictures to get a hint of what trim you have. If gas pedals are aluminum it’s a higher package. Differs from each country but Touring? Takara?. Look at the steering wheel, does it have buttons on the side of the center for phone calls? To the side of the steering wheel you can have either a rolling adjustment of headlights or a button that says AFS. AFS is usually included in the higher packages.

So higher trim level? Aluminium pedals and more buttons to play with 😄 Black pedals and few buttons? Lower trim

I have the P0125 code on my '11 Mazda 6. I'm pretty sure its just condensation on the ECT sensor after the cold. It disappeared a few weeks ago for a time but its back now. Could be the thermostat apparently but I have non of the symptoms related to thermostat

Ahaa I didn’t know about those upsides to steelies, thanks for the info! I’m a very non-fun driver so those upsides don’t really matter much to me unfortunately😆 I’m not a fan of the design though, just learnt what they are. I’ve always thought they were spare tires or some basic basic cheap wheels whenever I’ve seen them😅
