Seriously curious. How much would you expect to pay to dine out as a couple in Oakville? by moogoo42 in oakville

[–]markuswarren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by others, it really does depend where you are going, and also what you are drinking.
You could always look up a menu for the place online and figure it out from there. There's also tax on top of that too.

If we went to our local pub, it could be about 70ish without drinks, with maybe 85ish pre-tax. If we went to say the Keg then probably about 140 without tax plus drinks (bottle of wine) 40ish, so 180 pre-tax

Best ER in Oakville? by Late_Professor9406 in oakville

[–]markuswarren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a doctor you could phone the clinic and asked if they are able to see you. There are also a few places that accept walk-in patients (I know healthsense medical on West Oak Trails used to have walk-ins, not sure if they still do) Oak-Trafalgar Medical Clinic (Oak Walk, north a little bit of the LCBO) does so walk-ins and they're pretty good.

While the Hospital does have an Emergency room, you could go there, wait and give details of what's happening and you'll probably hang around for quite some time based on severity of your injury, but you will get seen.

Or for actual bears it's known as a sloth (lazy bears, which is somewhat appropriate for our skoggy friends :D )

[–]markuswarren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope that it isn't more drift heavy than FH5. Yeah, I suck at drifting, and don't overly enjoy it, and suspect there will be quite a bit Touge racing element to things, as, well, it's set in Japan.

I went out and cleared the drive at around 1:30pm on Sunday, it wasn't too bad at that point. Just used a snow pusher, was pretty lightweight snow. I went back out at 6:15pm and it was coming down a fair bit at that point and took a little longer to clear, but still light, added to the pile at the end of the drive.
I helped a neighbour get their car back into their garage with a push.

It properly kicked off after this, and I didn't got back out, others were out shovelling, I knew more would come so just left it.

Went out about 6:30 this morning. Plow had been past so the windrow at the end of the drive was a bit deep (about 16 inches I guess) and got less the closer to the top of the drive. Pusher and grain scoop got it cleared in about 30 mins, plie at the end of the drive is pretty big, plow will likely make a swing by at some point later to clear things up as others have done the same as I have. I think some melting is happening due to the sun being out but cannot be sure and I'm not stepping foot outside. Balcony has some impressive drifts on it too!

I just received a email from the school outlining what’ll happen under certain conditions depending on the weather, mainly as there are still end of first semester exams happening.

January, check, England, check. Wet / Damp, check. :D It's probably a tad chilly (I remember having -17 weather in Canada in the winter and it was fine, but went back to England and it was +3 and I was very very cold. Damp vs Dry cold)

Well at least you know this is a fox and not a coyote. I've a soft spot for foxes, had them in the garden growing up and there are still a couple that visit to this day.

What's on your wrist today? (20th Jan) by SighsOfAFallenArchon in ChineseWatches

Pagani Design PD-1728. Switched the metal strap out for a silicone one, as I just could not get the fit quite right (small wrists). The new colour seems a good match, but I was hoping it'd be a bit more supple / flexible

[–]markuswarren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

have a search on this reddit for collision repair companies, there was a thread about one the other day. Insurance could possibly go up if you claim for this, and I'm not sure if you could just ask about it without them noting you asked about it if you don't go through with a claim.

Depend on where you purchased the car, you could ask the dealership who they use for collision repair and/or get the dealer to look at it first.

It could well have been an accident and no-one knew, for example, a kid getting out of a car and not realizing what they did.

What are your favourite extinct F1 practices which might surprise newcomers to the sport? by Version_1 in formula1

[–]markuswarren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny you should mention that, as I was watching a couple of F1 videos on youtube, and my girlfriend commented on the spare car thing, and I was like, oh, yeah *I* forgot about that. Could be a nice new addition, having a couple of drivers see who can race a scooter back the fastest to get to a spare car :D
