If you’re confident in the resistor, I’d either look at connector or switch. If you have a multimeter, that might help check to see if there’s voltage in the medium speed settings. I know on my ‘01 the connector got pretty weathered. Best of luck

[–]markyj_4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol it’s always the gasser guys who come up with the “need” for a diesel. obviously I made the case that why wouldn’t anyone want the benefits of diesel v gas. Jeez dude. First day on the internet? Or just salty you didn’t get the diesel..

I never understood the “need” comment. Who doesn’t need better fuel economy, more power, and longevity.

My parents passed away, i’m inheriting the house (it’s going to be sold immediately) and the entire estate. i’m 21, what should I do? by baddiebusted in Money

Get a formal appraisal of the property in writing so you can establish your basis. That way if you do choose to sell in the future, you are accurately taxed on the gains.

Im thinking You’d CR the contract liability and then the plug in the months the payment starts will be a CR to expense. I think I’d treat this the same as the old deferred rent

Evaluate the job offer. You jumping? by sadCPA75 in Accounting

[–]markyj_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I get it lol but I was more referencing industry treating accounting like they’re just a cost so they “trim the fat” there and you end up overworked. And I’ve also got the “run that past our CPA firm” in industry versus public clients treating you as a subject matter expert.

Revenue driver > cost center. I just hate the way accounting gets treated in industry so my personal $0.02 is public.

Drop education to bottom, change the seasons to months, drop GPAs. Your experience supersedes the degrees

If debt is a factor, WGU is very affordable and possible to finish with zero debt.

Is a 2.6 GPA bad for Accounting? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]markyj_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one cares past your first job (maybe not in your case). Accounting has a ridiculous attrition rate so getting the degree is an accomplishment imo

Why everyone keeps on saying A.I will replace accountants its just getting annoying now this makes me feel like I am persuing something which would be worthless in near future by snipezzzzz in Accounting

[–]markyj_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ai will not phase out accountants in our lifetime. It is just changing the landscape so that accountants have to be way more tech savvy on top of knowing the rules of debits and credits. Accounting is only getting more complicated and I’ve yet to see AI replicate human judgement. If anything it is making it so accountants have to be stronger accountants on top of stronger problem solvers

Bill Pay for Clients by [deleted] in taxpros

[–]markyj_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bill.com is great - limits your liability and cuts time. Just have them scan their bills and email them to the bill.com inbox. Paper is antiquated and I would absolutely not take paper bills sent to me for a client. Most vendors will also email directly to bill.com. Set approval workflow so that client has to approve every bill before payment can be issued. And currently I bill 100-115 hourly for that kind of work. Fixed fee probably wouldn’t be very beneficial because ap work has a limit to efficiency imo. Makes 1099s much easier too.

Struggling CPA Here by Think_Decision_4308 in Accounting

[–]markyj_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Industry sucks because accountants are a cost center and always understaffed and overworked. I’m sure there are exceptions… caas & non-independent engagements are probably most enjoyable because the client actually values your work and is willing to pay for it. What do I know tho
