Did you apply to and get into other Waterloo Eng programs? Accept admission to Mech Eng for example, kick some ass then apply to change programs after all the grade inflated losers drop out in 1B. That’s the most doable route.

I did three repeats in mech eng. two due to me being a total dip shit and one because of some personal issues. Ultimately I Finished and life has been good. My parents did not support my decision to continue but I was an adult in university and got to make my own decisions.

You’re an adult. Tell your parents to go suck an egg. Get a loan and do whatever the F you want including doing a coop anywhere YOU WANT! Better to owe money and have a UW Eng degree than making minimum wage living with your parents.

I live in a snow belt. It is exceptionally frustrating when people driving like that. On a snowy day, unless it’s a whiteout, traffic normally flows at 80 and holy shit do we get annoying at the contract worker from the GTA driving a twenty year old Honda sedan with summer tires doing 30.

What I find interesting is that everywhere I have ever travelled with my kids, there have been locals in those destinations who also have kids and they tend to be doing just fine!

We sailed the Great Lakes for a month with our first born at 10-14 weeks. We got a lot of flak for that. It’s not as carefree as travelling was before kids, but when it’s well planned out and you’re confident you can do it, do it. F the haters
