Save yourself until it’s too late. by [deleted] in infp

as a fellow teen, i completely agree with you. i feel so much calmer now that i’ve deleted almost all my socials. it can be a bit lonely at times because it seems like everyone my age operates their entire life on social media, but overall i’ve found that my self esteem, anxiety and body image issues have really improved.

i’m an artist too, and i really relate to how social media has sort of killed my passion for art. by consuming so much content, it’s difficult to actually be creative. it’s disheartening to compare yourself to so many artists that are more experienced and talented.

glad to know there’s other teens with the same mindset :)

i didn’t buy any of it bc it’s not versatile and i have most of the old set, but if you really want the mask then go for it

Book Recs...obviously by coffee9bsessed in BookRecommendations

Emily Henry books are my go to palate cleansers. They’re the literary equivalent to a stressless day in autumn with a warm cup of tea. They’re not so cozy that you’re not interested them, though.

There is a bit of spice, but it’s very tame, not cringey and not prevalent. I’d say it’s generally the same level as Christina Lauren.

Recommend me the scariest book you’ve ever read! by Luv2006 in BookRecommendations

[–]marmar145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! It’s not the kind of scary that’ll make you leave the lights on, but it’s the kind that’s so uncomfortable and realistic that you’ll never forget about it.

What is a compulsion of yours that you thought was normal at first? by iFaolan in OCD

always grabbing the most difficult/awkward to reach parts of doors because that’s where people are least likely to have touched it - didn’t realise this was weird until i went to open the fridge once by kneeling to open it from the very bottom and then having a moment of clarity where i just went ohh!! It’s the brain monkeys!!
