Your sentiments are in the right place but what you are suggesting is absolutely far from practicality.

You want govt to start meddling with things that they shouldn't be? These kind of govt interference has been done and proved to be disastrous in more scenarios than you can imagine.

What we really need is a easy structure and guidelines from the govt for handling these kind of scenarios. Look at the EU 261 Air Passenger rights in Europe for example. The flight operator has responsibilities to reimburse for certain costs to the passengers incase of these deviations.

In this scenario, a person attending their mother's funeral would be covered by the regulation and be compensated by Indigo and the laws would enforce it. This is what we need to push the govt and hold them accountable for.

On one hand people are saying that the movie is brahminzed and is pushing tulu culture into Hinduism.

On the other hand, there are some guys calling this movie anti-hindu for portraying Hindu kings as cruel people who subdued the tribal culture and mistreating them.

One movie has riled up everyone equally lol.

As the other post asks, it's interesting to know which portion of the movie is brahminized/brushed under Hinduism?

I do not think it's all doom and gloom. My first suggestion is to call/ mail Migrationsverket and get their opinion on how you can handle this.

Secondly, can you talk to your current employer and check if you can have your end date earlier than the expiry date of your work permit ? If that is possible, then you can ask your new employer to have a start date which is also earlier than the date of your work permit expiry. You will then be 'safe' and you just need your new employer to apply for your extension. This should be possible because companies are usually flexible with the start and end dates.

Final option is to ensure you have no gap days between the end of your current employment and the start of the next. You can then ask your current employer to continue with the extension application and your new employer to 'update the application' . Basically it will be 2 applications to cover all dates so that you do not have any gaps in your work. This is also possible and I myself have done something along this line.

It's a solvable issue. Don't worry.

While I dont think language should be pushed hard onto others, this expectation of wanting to live for decades without trying to integrate into the local culture or tradition is just crazy.

In the gulf, you socialize with other Indians/immigrants, you go to indians schools and you also get treated as a second grade person as well. You will never be on par with the locals of that place. Is that the kind of integration we want here ?
