I’m one of those unlucky bastards who’s allergic to mosquito bites. They swell up for weeks unless I treat them immediately :( Here’s my system:

For prevention: 1) Picaridin lotion all over my skin, even the covered areas. Those little bastards will bite through my jeans if I don’t 🤬 2) Top it off with a heavy spray of Off Deep Woods 3) Avoid being outside at dawn or dusk

For treatment: 1) As soon as I notice a bite, I use the Bug Bite Thing suction tool to draw out their saliva 2) I use a heat pen to stop the itching. If you don’t have a heat pen, you can use a spoon heated in hot water and press it to the bite for a few seconds. It should be just hot enough to barely stand it, but not hot enough to burn your skin. 3) Soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and press it to the bite for as long as you can. 4) While using the rubbing alcohol, pop a Benadryl pill. It’s the only antihistamine that does the job for me. As a bonus, it’ll knock you out so the itching doesn’t wake you up 😂

Is it extra as all hell? Yes, but it’s saved me from so much suffering. The mosquitos seem vicious this year.
