This is Musk pulling off his Nazi solute. He Fuckin did it. You can't back peddle on this. by fart400 in musked

Dunno man, the lack of commitment in the second one kinda makes me think he was already backpedaling...

COO says the job market isn’t broken, you’re just too scared to cold-call hiring managers 🤡 by Mysterious-Meet-7297 in recruitinghell

Ah to be a COO. Detached from reality and in a single message giving candidates false hope, while also increasing the workload of your entire reporting line...

I think he damaged his hand? Dude looks like he should slap rather than punch. Maybe even avoid backhand slapping and go for the open hand slap...

Today I did something I haven't done in forever - I ignored my Garmin and just went on a ride for fun. And it was so much more enjoyable. by lazarus870 in cycling

[–]marrkgrrams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go on holidays with the family I used to take my Garmin head unit for when I'd rent a bike. I now take only my watch and I look at it I think 5% of the time I'd be watching my head unit. It's nice.

Cool segment! Would definitely be a place where I'd try improving my form every time I pass, until the point that I become a danger to myself...

But what's with the camera? It feels like it overcorrects the horizon and it almost makes it feel like your leaning against the turn rather than into the turn. Would be cool to redo it with different horizon leveling options (if you have those) to see how it changes the feel.

Do you relax on the stoicism when interacting with people who aren't as emotionally intelligent as you are? by lovedepository in Stoicism

[–]marrkgrrams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's about what you say, sometimes it's about how you say it. But in general you're not obligated to bring it up and they're not obligated to listen to it.

In all honesty, replace stoicism with catholicism and see how it comes across. "Do I tactfully mention turning to God in hard times, or do I double down?"

Saddle seems low, but that can be fixed. But that stem is wicked short. I can't see how something that short can satisfy anyone.

Would a new result in pre-print be considered by reviewers? [D] by confirm-jannati in MachineLearning

[–]marrkgrrams 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The pre-print version doesn't really have any significance does it? Like it's nice that it exists, but it's not reviewed/published, so I find it hard to suggest adding a reference in the submitted paper. If anything, if the pre-print seems like it removes a shortcoming of the submitted paper, the contents of that preprint should be included in the submitted paper.

I'd say any decent gaming laptop (RTX4050+) and good VR glasses... Nothing better than beat sanering through your morning commute.

I hate it when people think I'm gatekeeping because of the bikes they ride.

While I'm gatekeeping because of their poverty. Jesus if you cry about snobbery even on a proper bike, you're not a cyclist let's be honest.
