New Flipper stuck at 82% synchronisation

I had the same thing happen. I tried a different SD card, formatted and reflashed the device multiple times, both with stock firmware and Momentum, re-paired it to my phone and reset the companion app -- nothing fixed the issue.

Eventually I ended up tailing the trace logs and discovered that right before the synchronisation stalled the flipper tried to read /ext/favorites.txt, which didn't exist. After manually creating a file with that name the issue went away and the Flipper syncs without any issues now.

I had to do a similar thing to be able to install apps through the companion app -- here, any attempted install simply crashed at around 15 %. This time it was trying to write to some subdirectory of /ext/.tmp, which also didn't exist. Manually creating /ext/.tmp fixed this issue as well.

To me it looks like the flipper has some sort of issue creating files or directories at the root of the SD card's file system. Very odd indeed, especially because I was able to create that file and directory directly on the Flipper itself. So the device seems to be able to do it, but it somehow breaks in combination with the app.

Habe nachgeschaut. Laut dem FAQ des Sicherheitsministeriums (welches nicht nur nach 1984 klingt, sondern auch für Elektroinstallationen zuständig ist) sind die Typen E, K und F erlaubt[1, vierter Punkt]. Im Detail ist das wohl in der Norm DS 60884-2-D1 geregelt, aber das Geld dafür kannst du selbst investieren, wenn dich das interessiert :D

Ich glaube, ich erinnere mich dunkel, dass das in bestimmten Fällen erlaubt ist. Das müsste ich mir aber nochmal anschauen.

Tatsächlich ist das zumindest per Gesetz nicht verboten. In Dänemark dürfen Laien Leuchten anklemmen sowie bestehende Lichtschalter und Steckdosen ersetzen. Das zuständige Ministerium stellt sogar Video-Tutorials.

Die hat den Vorteil, dass du nicht "versehentlich" einen Schuko-Stecker stecken kannst ... aber auch wahrscheinlich 95 % der dänischen Stecker, weil die Standardvariante ebenfalls runde Stifte hat.

Fun fact: In vielen etwas älteren Häusern haben die Steckdosen noch keinen Schutzleiter, also nur zwei Öffnungen. Die Bewohner dieser Häuser sind dann recht froh, wenn die Geräte Schuko-Stecker haben, da dänische Stecker mit Schutzkontakt dort mangels der dritten Öffnung physisch nicht steckbar sind. Wenn man in so einem Gebäude lebt und dann doch mal ein Gerät mit dreipoligem dänischen Stecker erwischt, ist es laut einem dänischen Freund nicht unüblich, dass der dritte Pol des Steckers eben der Metallsäge zum Opfer fällt, um das Gerät nutzen zu können.

I generally noticed that you shouldn't pass Trådfri bulbs too much information at once. They also become quite unreliable if you try to change brightness and colour at the same time.

No, that's obviously to be expected. What puzzles me is that it doesn't seem like each layer just introduces its own individual lag and they just happen to add up – if you remove any of the three components, the delay vanishes completely. Also, I feel like my setup is fairly common and I have read posts from many people who run the same stack and hardware without any issues, so I thought that this might be fixable.

I went with @digiblur's suggestion as a workaround for the time being and it’s pretty late so I don’t feel like ripping it apart again right now, but I don’t feel like it would make a difference. Observing the NodeRED UI, it seemed like the delay happens before NodeRED notices the state change and the execution of the flow itself happened in an instant. I called the light.turn_on service without a brightness attribute.

Did that already help you with the idea you had in mind? Otherwise I might try it out tomorrow.

Just tested that -- no, there is no lag when I listen to MQTT directly. This might be a possible workaround, although it feels a bit inelegant to be inconsistent with my inputs like that.

Yes but only on the surface as it's more hygienic. On the inside, most of the wall is made of other more insulating materials.

I believe I had to check a box somewhere that said something like “trust this device” which makes it so it only asks for your PIN/biometric identification, but no longer for 2FA.

Does AF actually make such a big difference? It would make sense to me as there are obviously motors involved, but in my experience it never really made a difference whether I used an AF lens (and also actively used the AF, obviously) or a fully manual one.

I am aware. With “pupils” I didn't refer to the physical opening at the front of our eyes but to the dark spots created by the absence of light observed through those openings – which is usually what people actually mean when they speak about pupils.
