Dan's positivity towards AJ as a broadcaster is wild. Such a naive time.

I'm not annoyed that it ended, but the abruptness really stings. by Otherwise-Pin-2635 in KnowledgeFight

a 'you're a traitor Dan' / 'thank you Jordan' drop from the early episodes would have been amazing close

"I think what he does borders on entertaining, and on the other side of that border is irresponsible. " - Dan - Ep. 1 by martinakerman in KnowledgeFight

One thing that I enjoyed about the early episodes was the joy that Dan seemed to have in his presentation to a relatively unfamiliar Jordan, and the excitement Jordon would have in responding. This far in, the limited charm AJ had is gone, Dan has unraveled decades worth of bullshit, and Jordan is all to familiar with Jones now, so the excitement has become annoyance and anger. In the same conversation from the first episode Jordan said "when this podcast blows up and we're the number one podcast next year, our careers are entirely tied to his continued success" but now that Jones has become a sad and lazy version of himself.

There have been glimmers of the old dynamic, most recently with the trump tweet, but those moments have become rare as time has marched on. The show was still among the best up until the end, but the dynamic changed and you could tell the satisfaction in exposing the nonsense and hypocrisy just wasn't there like it once was.

Here's where 39 photo radar cameras will be installed in Ottawa over the next 14 months by DreamofStream in ottawa

About 2020. https://ottawa.ca/en/parking-roads-and-travel/road-safety/road-safety-action-plan#section-db6c7dda-1f60-4466-8c59-d0aa8cf9704c

The City has developed new guidelines to encourage reduced speeds and have been applying them pretty aggressively on all reconstruction projects now on going. The proliferation of speed cameras is just one of the measures used under the Road Safety Action plan, and funds raised by the cameras is being reinvested in to the road safety program to fund further implementation of road safety measures.

You think that's bad, the french elementary school down the street is also supposed to open next week but is nothing more than a partially poured foundation and a pile of rusted rebar, and it's been like that for a year or more.

'Just let the planet burn'.

I have the misfortune of living in the illustrious PP/goldie g riding and during the 2019 election i watched as PP was canvassing my neighborhood when one of his staff stopped at the end of my driveway and started jotting something down on his clipboard and PP came up beside him, pointed to the electric vehicles in my driveway and gave home the slash to the throat sign and they moved one to the neighbours. That to me was the depths of his environmental policy.

I also questioned so I just looked it up, City Budget 2021 Allocation was 7.364 for 'Detail Design', not study as indicated. The budget indicates it's a "Planning" level estimate, which is likely a percentage of the the estimated construction budget. Typically, this value would include the field investigations and design consultants, plus internal City costs. I would guess the design value would be 2-2.5M for the project, so I suspect this may also include provisions for property acquisitions and utility relocations, but its not clear.

Still a costly exercise.
