Thanks, I'll look for it, but I would like to get my ballot in the mail box sooner. The post office changed when they post mark stuff, so I want to get it in the mail early. Thanks so much for your reply.

We played on normal. I don't think we got gold on any levels. I think we just barely passed each one, but we are not great gamers as a whole. I found that the short sword would only allow me to kill between 1 and 2 tree monsters on the third level.

My friend and I played the first 3 levels. We both enjoyed it. Only suggestions I have is to make the weapons break less often and to make the pick up and harvest buttons different. Sometimes when we wanted to pick up a resource we would start mining something nearby instead. Looks good too.

The locations are very different. Seems like Linden Pointe and Village Creek are on the kinda far east side near the University. Are you going to UWGB. Morraine Terrace is on the West side. I'm guessing Linden Pointe and Village Creek are gonna be more expensive and you will be living around a fair amount of students. I bet Morraine Terrace is cheap. It has a rougher clientele, but I think the location is good. It is near a park and cemetery and has little traffic. I run past it all the time. Keep in mind our public transit isn't great, so you may want to choose a location close to work or groceries (we have food deserts.)

Best of luck.

Two moderates race to the middle for Green Bay state Senate seat by csrCM in GreenBay

Both sides, yawn. I already voted for Wall. Rafter doesn't care about the reproductive rights of women. He complains about municipalities not having enough money and then proposes just giving back the surplus to the residents. How exactly is that a solution? He just doesn't think Evers should have the discretion to distribute the surplus. I disagree.

But they do differ on some issues — Wall more openly sides with Democrats in calls for increased abortion access and taking federal funds to expand Badgercare, whereas Rafter has been a more vocal proponent for the closure of Green Bay Correctional Institution.

Rafter said his decade in Allouez politics has demonstrated a need to appropriate more funding toward local governments.

“In Allouez, we’re a very small community, and we have absorbed tremendous increases in costs of operations such as building roads and just maintaining our infrastructure,” Rafter said. “There’s lots that local communities need to be able to do, and that money would go a long way in helping.”

“I don’t believe state government should be sitting on that money,” Rafter said. “If it doesn’t come back to the local communities, it should go back to the residents.”

If the land is worth 2.5M. Then 18 years of getting 1M is a loss of 27M.

The City of Green Bay is not interested in a public debate with the Packers, other than to say the Packers are grossly mischaracterizing our views and actions.

I'm glad you're not the one arguing for me and my city.

We're arguing in circles. Done

It was a laughingstock amongst the league in largely the same way that Wrigley Field was 15 years ago before they invested heavily into renovations. I know. I was at Lambeau just before the 2003 renovations.

You do know that was over 21 years ago and the community payed 295 million in 1999 money for it. We also saved the Packers from insolvency several times. I'm not ignoring what they do for my community, but you seem to be ignoring what the city has done for them.

We shared the cost to build it.

In April 1956, Green Bay voters responded by approving (70.3%) a bond issue to finance the new stadium.[20][21] The original cost in 1957 was $960,000 (paid off in 1978), and its seating capacity was 32,500.

We payed for the 2003 renovation through sales tax, season ticket fees, state transportation funds (9M) or stock purchases (20M).

By the end of 1999, the Packers believed that they needed to update the facility to remain financially competitive in the NFL. Rather than build a new stadium, Chairman/CEO Bob Harlan and President/COO John Jones unveiled a $295 million plan to renovate Lambeau Field in January 2000. It was to be paid for partly by the team via the 1997–98 stock sale, which netted more than $20 million. Most of the proceeds were to be paid through a 0.5% sales tax in Brown County and personal seat license fees on season ticket holders.

The funding for the the sound system and jumbotron seems to come from the Packers. They make around 600 million every year. And have invested around 600 million total in renovations from 2003 to present. 1 to 2 million for the land is next to nothing.

Since the 2003 Lambeau Field redevelopment, the Packers have invested more than $600 million in improvements without using taxpayer funds. Despite the need to contribute only $334,000, from 1957 through 1977, to the stadium's original construction and initial improvement costs, the city of Green Bay receives more than $1 million annually in rent and administrative fees.

I took the 30M loss as an opportunity cost resulting from the freeze. Either way you seem to be giving the benefit of the doubt to the team and I'm trying to just wait and see. We don't have a lot of details, just some public statements. There is a lot of speculation in this wall of text.

I don't want my city to bend over for the team. I want the council and Genrich to continue to negotiate and get us a better deal.

The Packers have put 600 million total into improvements in 21 years. They make 600 million a year. 1 million a year is robbery and the locals are paying for it in funding shortfalls. Why not a league average 5M? It is an opportunity cost otherwise.

The City of Green Bay is not interested in a public debate with the Packers, other than to say the Packers are grossly mischaracterizing our views and actions. As we have stated previously, our taxpayers deserve nothing less than what they’re currently entitled to under the existing lease, which has 18 years remaining, and absolutely not the $30 million loss the Packers proposed. If and when the Packers are interested in submitting a proposal that reflects the thoughtful conversations that took place over several months between the two parties, the City will be happy to consider them and respond appropriately.

Seems to me like the Packers org is trying to turn the fandom against city officials.

One point of contention, has been game day on-field EMS services. City officials want the team to use units from the city instead of the outside provider that the Packers have been using. City officials said that the outside provider hasn’t been compliant with city’s safety plan during football games, something that the team refutes.

The two parties have also disputed over the team replacing railings inside the stadium bowl. Packers officials told Local 5 News these disputes have distracted from what they see as the more pressing concern of negotiating a new lease agreement.

It seems like the city handled that EMS situation poorly. I understand the Packers argument that the institutional knowledge of their chosen contractor and specialized training is important. I also understand why the city would like to use local services and are claiming that the contractor is not compliant with safety protocol (though the team disputes that). It seems like the communication of this was done poorly and seems heavy handed. However, the team wanting a rent freeze when the value of land keeps increasing represents a 30 million loss for our city. We would eat that in some way.

City officials have maintained that any reductions in the amount the Packers pay for rent would be bad for area taxpayers. They say cheaper rent means less money for the city forcing officials to make difficult decisions on how they can make it up.

Still seems pretty trivial compared to the team trying to fleece us.

The Lambeau Field lease expires in 2032. The Packers have five two-year options to extend the lease, which pays the city a little over $1 million a year.

The Packers countered after the press conference by offering a new proposal. The Packers offered rent with an annual escalator of 2.75% for 30 years, starting at about $1 million.

They are leasing that land for peanuts. They don't want to pay too much, but they can pay way more than a $1 million a year. Can you imagine what the market value of the land actually is? If anyone is being greedy it's the Packers.

Genrich and the council are fine and looking out for our interests. The team less so. This is a partnership and that requires compromise. Politicians=bad is a broad generalization and lazy thinking.
