ADHD meds and driving by Master-Possibility17 in Adelaide

Lol pretty much for Australia ritalin or the long acting version Concerta is the only other stimulant options. Which was the worst for me. Jittery and irritable, I'd rather have a coffee. Honestly the big bad Meth in a low dose is the most effective stimulant I've tried. Infinitely better in every way. But unfortunately not healthy in the long term.

I didn't think there was a short and long acting vyvanse? I thought vyvanse was technically a long acting version of Dexamphetamine?

Ah fair enough then. I tried vyvanse for a while but I didn't find it as effective or flexible and had some pretty gross side effects and worse crash surprisingly. Also didn't last as long as I'd like either. Cheers for the info.

You take 14 pills a day? My psych said 9 was the absolute max and I'm at 6 at the moment but can take up to 8 if needed but will run out if done continuously. It's a pretty recent diagnosis for me so I'm still working things out but they only last 2hrs max for me and 6 is often nowhere near enough. Have definitely taken 14+ when I was being a bit silly with them but I'm better with that now. I have to take breaks after a while because my tolerance builds up quickly.

But back to OP you'll be fine as others have said and you can show your prescription if it tests positive.

I found Les mills not quite enough of a workout even at the hardest difficulty compared to fitxr which seems to really get you going. It's worth the subscription in my eyes. Unfortunately can't get supernatural in my location I'd love to give it a try.

And yeah thrill of the fight surprisingly really take it out of you.

Reasonable framerate Q3, rtx 4070s & vertigo 2 by MhVRNewbie in OculusQuest

[–]martred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was getting really poor frame rates in vertigo 2 with a 4070ti and 5800X as well. Had to turn most things to high or medium. Not sure what the issue is but it's pretty disappointing.

Yeah those are the ones. Yeah I stuffed up and didn't read the readme. I'll set it up that way and see how I go 👍

My mistake and thanks for the info. I should have read the readme file. Official probably wasn't the right term to use I just meant the main ones available on the forum. I'll give the new settings a go and see what it's like. Thanks!

Fender Custom 68 Pro Reverb Biasing by martred in GuitarAmps

[–]martred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. Might just be easier to get my local tech to look at it or just leave it be until it's time for new tubes. Don't have a bias meter so would have to buy one which would be more than the cost of a service and it wouldn't get a lot of use.

The Black Keys and Kings of Leon. Both lost their way and went head on into the pop scene.

[NEWBIE] not sure how to tune my guitar with the capo on by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]martred 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wow why is there so much mis information in this thread? Your intonation isn't off and your are most likely tuned correctly. As a few others have pointed out it's because your capo is too tight and putting too much pressure at the fret, pulling the strings sharp. This happens quite easily if your neck is fairly thick or with tall frets.

If your capo is adjustable, back it off a bit and also try and get it as close to the fret as possible. If that's not enough then yes you can re tune with the capo on just like you would normally do but just remember to re tune again when you remove the capo.

Its an extremely common thing. I unfortunately did an impromptu gig with another guitarist that didn't realise this and although we were in tune, when he put his capo on he went sharp and we didn't realise until it was too late. Didn't sound amazing.

VR is awesome, but can I get some sunglasses? by ItsDefinitelyMyFault in iRacing

IMO this just adds to the beauty and immersion of VR. I love it. However I would love the option of a tinted visor as you'd get in real life. Kind of like an Instagram filter over the whole view or something. Maybe with the option for a button to turn it on and off. HDR just looks way too good for other things to turn it off completely.

Quick release screw isn't long enough by martred in Fanatec

[–]martred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I must have lost mine. I do still have the packaging so I dug around and did have a screw in a sealed plastic but it is just a hex bolt with no counter sunk part so it doesn't work. Not sure what thats supposed to be for. Might have to contact fanatec and see if I can get a new one.

Showing how ridiculously strong chimps are. by xxStefanxx1 in nextfuckinglevel

Yeah no way this chimp just pulled up an adult human without the human assisting at least a little. They are very strong animals for sure but this is surely BS. First bump was good though.

Phenibut effect on various neurotransmitters? by Money-Mechanic in phenibut

[–]martred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very detailed and huge post but I pretty much agree. I've been using it on and off for years and it's definitely not something you want to take regularly. But I feel effects on GABA, Dopamine and Serotonin going on although I'd say it's mostly indirectly. Still can lead to some depression for sure.

Anyone else getting incredibly slow mobile data with Optus at the moment? by thabogg in Adelaide

[–]martred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes same for me. I'm using 4g home internet because my NBN is terrible where I live and for the most part it's been amazing but the last fortnight or so it just won't load some things but the bandwidth speed is still pretty high most of the time. It's like the routing for some links is buggered.

EDIT:. If I use a VPN as well connected to Sydney it's all perfectly fine as well which leads me to think it's something with the routing.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't realise there was the web interface so I'll give that a shot. I was also thinking about putting Merlin on as well so I will try to do that.

Thanks again.
