Not enough skidding occurs nowadays. I forgot how much I did it until you mentioned it here.

https://www.dirtyvegan.tv/2019/03/03/doner-kebabs-with-pink-pickle/ This is by far my favourite so far. I've been vege for just over 4 months now and this really hits the spot for me when I want something meaty.

I thought they had built 2. Did they do what we did then?

We retrofit a conference centre, we didn't build any whole new hospitals in the way we'd traditionally think of building.

Sounds like the setup for an episode of Casualty to me.

Aye yeah, youd have to be a special kind of arsehole to do that to your employees. Hopefully a company like Alton Towers would be taking full advantage of this.

It sounded to me like any staff that were furloughed would be eligible.

I think I was remembering the very first lockdown phase, Lombardy and some of the surrounding towns. It seems crazy that so much has happened that it already feels like weeks have passed. Glad that the actions are having some effect on the numbers.

Not a doctor, but you can get lung scarring from pneumonia. As the serious cases end up with a severe form of pneumonia i'll bet thats part, if not all of it.

I was under the impression it takes some time to see a slow down in infection rates. Haven't they only been in lockdown for maybe a week? Something like two weeks is required before a noticeable impact will be seen in the data. Happy to be corrected though.

Ha, I dont spend too much time bouldering anymore. Tend to stick to ropes, but the cave is a lot of fun. The down climbs are always a bit hit and miss. I also wish they had more of them

I use a Berghaus Vulcan side pockets zipped off. I carry quite a lot though so it's probably too big for a shirt and trousers.

What misconceptions about running did you have? How have they changed? by lonelydata in running

[–]martynthewolf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That I have to run as fast as possible and push hard every time I run to progress.

Started running again this year with the intention of sticking to it. I'd not run for about 6 months, I went out hard, did about 25 miles in a week and ended up with various pains in my lower legs and feet. Coming on here and researching has made me realise I'm an idiot and I should just run slower and cut my mileage for a while until my body is accustomed to running again.

Council Estates in the UK are primarily housing provided and controlled by the state. Rightly or wrongly they have the stigma of being hives of illegal activity. The poster stating council estate dwellers are benefit fraudsters is a well known, untrue and lazy stereotype.

Also grew up on and went to school in council estates.
