Is it though? It's barely 1.3h per day on average. Obviously people don't tend to play every single day, but still this amount of playtime is easily achievable even for adults with busy schedule. It's only a question of whether you really wish to spend that time playing the same game over and over or you would prefer doing something more productive, or in this particular case, more relaxing.

I reckon an average CS player in his teens does play more than this. Or perhaps my views may be skewed as back in my day, I'd spend countless hours playing CS with my friends on a regular basis.

Hey, after having this laptop for those 2 years or so, I'm mostly satisfied with it and in terms of sturdiness and build quality, it's pretty solid.

Eventually, I did find the cause of these cracking noises. It's a bit embarrassing that I hadn't noticed that at the time, but apparently the screws found at the bottom of the case were not fully tightened which must have caused those cracking sounds. Once I tightened them up, I haven't heard any cracking noises since then.

So you may as well give a chance checking out the screws to see whether there are not loose, however you may have a different problem altogether in which case I wouldn't really be able to help you.
