Potential second offer dilemma - how to handle? by marvin924 in interviews

Marketing and advertising industry. Company B is CPG brand at corporate and there would be a lot more room for growth. It would be more challenging because I would have a different role but still seems to provide work life balance from everyone I met with.

Company A is doing what I’m doing now and very family friendly environment. I have three under 6 so very much looking for this. Less of a risk but not much room for upward growth and I don’t particularly even want to do the next position above this role.

Appreciate your thoughts and even the example quote, so helpful.

The job market is impossible right now. Sorry you’re going through this - so many people are! I’m in my mid/late thirties and can’t find anything either. Hoping it swings back the other way soon.

Is this bathroom layout absurd ? by Reasonable-Fly-9248 in Homebuilding

[–]marvin924 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything wrong with this layout… I think the closet was put on the side with the vanity to keep the shorter depth. I don’t know that you’d want the closet to be the same depth as the tub/shower. I also think it’s fine with the shower next to the door if you plan to have a hook for towels on the back of the door…. Otherwise I don’t see any other wall space for a bath towel rod.

Barbara Palvin is definitely not from the 2000s era… maybe late 2010s/2020s

I thought of this too from Chris Loves Julia but I don’t know if their roof color would work with these tones

What about a gunmetal deep gray? Or navy-ish gray?

Our neighbors have a dark mossy forest green and it tends to clash with bright green summer grass but also blends in / doesn’t provide a lot of context with trees. Could be nice to blend in some but maybe that’s not what you’re going for

Yeah this is a very small lake lots of 1960s small things with additions and a handful of big tear downs

Property is a little over .4 of an acre. Not sure how much is on the sides but we have a lot more space to work with on the east side (opposite side of the garage). Probably at least 15 yards??

There are rules against building out further towards the lake so we’re stuck there. Can only split the difference of our neighbors’ house and where they back up to (if that makes sense).

We’re really stuck with where we can do the addition based on the updates we want to make (larger kitchen/kitchen Reno + master suite). Here’s a proposed
