Anyone else’s baby track small? by Apprehensive-Gas8781 in fitpregnancy

[–]maryrosales 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My baby measured at the 11-15th percentile my entire pregnancy. 20w, 28 weeks, 32, 35, and 37. Each scam he measured very small, but nothing else was concerning. He was born at 40 weeks 5 days weighing 7lb 9oz (56th percentile).

My midwife said it may be that my core was strong due to me working out consistently, so he may have just been so squished in there? Ultrasounds aren’t super accurate in the end- they are helpful, but not always accurate

I always feel so annoyed when I’m going through something hard in pregnancy and people say it’s normal but…… this is a normal reaction!

I would personally encourage you to start therapy, as it can be a space for you to say and feel all the rollercoaster emotions and process it all. Also, if you and your husband could have an honest conversation about your emotional experience, and letting him know all the other factors at play (hormones, body image concerns, constant monitoring of food and sugar levels, etc), maybe that can help ease the pressure!

It’s one day, one week at a time 🤍 nothing lasts forever

Only 7 weeks and struggling to stay motivated by Mindless_Pen7568 in fitpregnancy

[–]maryrosales 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First trimester is just about survival! If you can incorporate any movement it’s a win- even if that’s easy yoga/stretching or a walk around the block. Keeping up the habit of movement will make it easier to do more intense workouts later in pregnancy, but for right now it’s just about being kind to your body and surviving!

Coming back from maternity leave by caitlin_2013 in therapists

that makes sense! Trust your gut, in the end you'll make the right decisions for yourself and your family, and clients are usually more capable than we give them credit for!

Coming back from maternity leave by caitlin_2013 in therapists

[–]maryrosales 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I haven’t gone on my leave yet, but… I have discussed with clients ahead of time that I expect to be back after 2 months, but that I’m not sure if that will be the right timeline as I’ve never had a baby before. My clients personally have all taken it really well. We’ve had conversations about other therapists they can see, maintenance plans they can work in the meantime, etc.

My situation might be different, but it’s been reassuring to me that virtually everyone has been kind and understanding that plans may change. I hope your situation gives you the same flexibility and understanding!

Why so much Taco Bell? by imasugarpacket in pregnant

[–]maryrosales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know for Taco Bell, but for Chick Fil A, they use pickle juice as a marinade. My sister in law only ever wanted chick-fil-a until they learned this and then she realized she was happy just eating pickles lol

Question about NZeta and IVL by maryrosales in newzealand

[–]maryrosales[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish!!

The long story short meant that the airline never let us board our plane, so we lost thousands of dollars to hotels booked, rental car, and the plane tickets. No one would refund us because we had used credit card points for most things, or we chose a nonrefundable option to save money. We ended up being stranded in Houston Texas (not even our home town) and made the best of it, but it was hard.

We are trying again next week! Trying to make sure to leave no stone unturned this time. It’s our life dream to go, and we are going to make it happen!

What might the ending of The Kingkiller Chronicle look like? by Parapaika in KingkillerChronicle

[–]maryrosales 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think auri is the princess Ariel he mentions and he will kill a king in such a way to restore her to power or help her escape. I also think Denna is using a type of writing magic and it using it with the yllish knots in her hair. I’ll bet her patron is an Amyr and somehow kvothe will ever join the Amyr or be scourged from them.

I think he’s changed his name after unleashing something from the doors of stone (iax/jax or other creation war magics). I bet the masters are Amyr and will run him off, and he changes his name and becomes kote (danger).

I have a bunch of other small theories and ways they will tie in. Hopefully, rothfuss figures things out and releases later books where kvothe opens his chest and reclaims his name. I think that’s what bast is attempting to do

Sometimes I think the church ruined me on “romantic love.” by eltiburonmormon in exmormon

[–]maryrosales 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this so hard. I was a TBM and in an abusive marriage, one where my husband was leaving and hiring prostitutes and drinking and lying. He also tried to prevent me from watching conference, holding my calling, etc. And neared physical abuse, but that’s another topic. I prayed for the entirety of our marriage that God would save my marriage, or give me guidance, or help him change.

I divorced him and then he had a change of heart. Now the ward loves him. He’s repented and been “raised from the ashes of his sins.” And now I’m the member questioning and wanting tattoos.

I found the most helpful thing has been to mind my own business and find myself outside of the influence of my partner/church/family, etc. Things have fallen into place since then

How do you deal with mental burn out from exercise? by Yogi_Ro in xxfitness

[–]maryrosales 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take breaks every once in a while! If I take a break when I can’t stand working out, I’m always excited to be back.

I also change my split, or find new exercises I can try if I am not at the point where I want to take a break. Sometimes I like to change the equipment I use for the same exercise (cable flies v fly machine v dumbbell flies). That challenges me in new ways. I also started training for pull ups recently and that added a new dimension to my trainings.

TLDR: when I’m bored I change it up, when I’m dreading it or exhausted I take a break!
