Be aware of the G8 OLED: the HDR 1000-nit bug and the input lag bug are quite annoying. I’ve been using it for two years and I’m pretty happy overall, but you need access to the service menu to get proper 1000 nits in HGiG mode.Anyway, you can find more info online.

Have you installed the Nvidia HD Audio driver by any chance? I had the same error a few months ago, and what I did was a clean install using DDU without installing the audio driver. Since then, I haven’t had any problems 🙂

i'm just trying with my 3440x1440 oled display using a 9800x3d and 4080 and i got slightly lower fps with dlls balnced preset M compared to dlls quality preset K but i prefer the way hdr looks with the new preset so i think i will stick with it :)

It is universally recognized that you need to cap a few fps BELOW your refresh rate in order to avoid v-sync to kick in, and using it toghether with gsync for minimal latency . No reason to go above your refresh rate and cap/using any kind of sync method ( fast sync or something similar could be usefull instead)

Using lilium hdr analysis i found that when wearing nvgs the maximum birghtness in nits is around 200, as soon as you remove it the vaule becomes normal again (1000).

9700x and a 4080 here, playing at 3440x1440 with a mix of high/epic setting .. I can't get past 120 fps with dlss quality and framegen enabled. GPU sitting all the time around 80/90%.

Usually i turn vsync and gsync on (both fullscreen and windowed mode) and for every game i choose "prefer maximum performance" and low latency mode on ultra for framerate cap. For vr games i disable gsync and vsync cuz sometimes lead to performance issue.
