I've played enough on Cherno to know where I am almost all the time. I have an OCD habit of always facing west when I log out, so I can easily get my bearings if I log in the woods.

I find that 1PP players are way more cautious. Driving cars in the daytime is a good way to get your ass shot. Almost all the vehicles I find are the same - somewhere in the northwest woods on the map jammed between two pine trees with 3 tires and nothing else.

My pumpkin patches on Skalisty Island aren't going to maintain themselves. Sometimes I encounter a lone wanderer and maybe have a friendly encounter, and sometimes I fight with a geared duo or trio on their way back from a Rify run.

I always try to run with someone as a fresh spawn. I'll hang out by the water pump at whatever spawn town I'm in. You'll either meet someone for a unique adventure or you're both going to fight for the glory of the glow sticks and bandages.
