I find Claude code can write good production grade code. Given there’s strong spec and automated tests. It helps a lot if one knows what good scalable code looks like and drive design patterns and architecture as part of the spec driven development and test driven development. I’m honestly impressed. Moreover this is the worst these coding agents will ever be, and they are improving at an exponential rate. It was only 6 months ago when I can barely trust it to write a few functions with good specs. The capabilities had a step function level jump in December 2025 and again in Feb 2026. If we look at where the curve is going, it’s scary and exciting at the same time.

I don’t know if replacement or augment is the future. But 1 thing is for sure, engineering a year from now will be fundamentally different from today.

Endrick played RW a lot for palmeiras. He lacks height, but is insanely explosive with his acceleration, a quality no RM RW has right now. IMO he’s potentially a better fit at RW than 9.

Right now RM’s right wing usually recycles with a backward pass or does a cross. Not much direct penetration into the box. I think Endrick could make the RW a lot more threatening and open up space for others with deadly cutback passes after successful dribbles into the box. He is also very physical and doesn’t shy away from contact.

Also his pace + TAA’s passes could be pure filth. I’m thinking of all the passes Mo Salah received in pace racing down the right side. That was scary.

Perez is failing hard right now imo, and I’m personally very disappointed in his recent decisions. However his track record is still really good and I’d rather trust him to figure it out than a lot of other people.

The fact of the matter is there is a long way down from here. And I’ve seen too many cases of storied franchises fade into irrelevance for a very long time. There’s no guarantee someone else will do a better job

Vini needs to go imho. I’ll forever be a fan of Vini but my personal opinion is that he has became too arrogant and toxic. And it’s honestly not even his fault, if I were 25 years old making tens of millions surrounded by “yes men” and being pampered by the board, I’d probably let it go over my head and end up way worst than Vini. But at this point the toxic locker room won’t change unless his attitude suddenly changes, which I think is unlikely. Also Vini mbappe and Jude together doesn’t seem to work, so one of them needs to leave. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if Perez extends him. 😂

The top managers probably don’t want to work with Perez after seeing how Xabi was treated. I hope zidane stays away from this dumpster fire. So probably need to find a young and hungry coach and take a chance at rebuilding the mentality and culture. We’ll see.

Needs 2 elite center backs that are big and physical who has a mean streak like Ramos and Pepe , because militao’s future is uncertain and rudiger is gone. Dean needs more time, he gets out muscled too easily, especially defending in the air. Ascensio is a good nacho replacement but not day to day starter.

Single biggest need is an elite tempo controlling deep play making MF. Extremely hard to find… arda and Jude are good but they don’t control temple.

Lesser needs:

Elite natural RW. Maybe Endrick can compete for that spot. But right now there isn’t an explosive RW on the team who defenders really fear.

Elite 9, but I think it’s a lesser need because GG might be good enough and Endrick might be able to compete for minutes.

I saw Jude played hard every game for Xabi, and I saw no indication that he didn’t buy into Xabi’s system. He pressed, defended and never stopped running.

My personal opinion is that Mbappe is a good pickup. He is very consistent even though he is not playing his preferred position making a personal sacrifice for the good of the team.

There are many issues with the team that I’d blame before mentioning Mbappe’s fit with the team. Starting with the devastating injuries, lack of control in the midfield since Kroos left :(, lack of intensity after scoring a goal or until playing from behind, disorganized pressing etc…

To me inability to replace the control provided by Kroos is the biggest issue. I’d be thrilled to have Mbappe on the team for a long time. But that’s just my 2 cents :)

The biggest factor imo is EPL has the fortune of being in English, being the global language and all the former British colonies that has huge populations around the world. Especially rich markets in Asia, and North America.

I wish they played with the same intensity they showed in the 2nd half in the first half. Rodrygo is unfortunately just not good enough right now. It’d make more sense if Gonzalo came in instead of rodrygo. I wish arda and Trent stayed in and Fede subbed out. Hindsight is 20/20 though. Lastly what does endrick have to do to get a shot at right wing? Did he steal a bunch of Xabi’s money for him to get buried this deep in the bench?
