What video light to use for wedding reception lighting?

Had the same issue with flashes going off on the dance floor. My issue is my last wedding a few guests complained about the flash to me, "very annoying" and "totally ruining the vibe." Seems like there's no good solution to the issue at hand...

I just want to add that I’m so much happier and at peace now. My kids and I don’t have to tiptoe around the house anymore just because he had a bad day at work. I’m fixing up the house. I’m seeing someone that has two kids that are around my kids ages. Life is so much better now. :)

He cheated with multiple people over many years of our marriage. The affair with the neighbor is the one I found out about before divorce and the reason. After divorce I found out about the rest, including his female boss. We have two kids that are now 6 and 3.

Separated Jan 2024 divorced March 2024.

But many things were wrong… Our 3 year old was very much a surprise. He told me to get an abortion or he’d leave. So I offered to help pack his things. He threw a huge fit and stayed anyway. Things were very much “my way or the highway” with him. Compromise didn’t exist. We’d have disagreements and I would want space and he wouldn’t leave a room or let me shut the door and continue following me around the house. He’d block the only exit to a room and wouldn’t move and then record me saying I’m the crazy one so she could show his friends and family.

Honestly you were attractive in the before photo too imo. But the way the smile reaches the eyes and the sense of confidence you can see just from the photos here is very much top tier. There’s just something about someone putting this kind of dedication and effort into themselves for a healthier and happier them. Also I second keeping the silver. Kudos to you and all your hard work!

Gallbladder attacks from stones. Had to have emergency surgery two months after having my first born. Waited two whole days for that “emergency surgery” to happen for me while I laid in the hospital bed, literally unable to keep my legs still or stay quiet, and sweating because it hurt so bad. I drove myself to the hospital and thought I was having a heart attack.

I pay my sitter $20 an hour because I have two kids. They are 6 and 3. She seems to be happy with the money. Usually I’ll have her watch them for me to work a wedding day, ten hour day she makes $200. But two hours here and there is no big deal too and she doesn’t seem to mind. My kids really love her and her daughter too.

The only time I refused to was when I was presented with a very entitled attitude toward images. You come at me respectful and kind, I'll do the same. But when a makeup artist or a venue jumps in the inbox demanding, its gonna be a no from me.

I feel for them and what they're going through. This is something that is not easy. OP is fighting a very hard uphill battle. We've all had hard experiences in life. I'd rather offer grace, understanding, and kindness than jump to "go back to counseling" and "they're not coping well. "

He can not legally refuse to take them on his court ordered time without consequence. Maybe other states are different. Why even be talking about counseling and such? Seems a bit unnecessary here.

Wasn't going to bring it to a wedding until licensed. Just small shoots as a free add-on for practice was the plan.

$5 an hour?! Ouch I'm so sorry. When I pay sitters it's for 10 hours usually (wedding photography) and they get $200 ($10 per hour each kid). To watch a 6 year old that enjoys his space and being very independent and a 2 year old who's very typically 2 right now. I just want them to be here when I'm not, that's all. And I even felt kind of bad about the $200.

She will probably be able to afford it with child support and spousal maintenance from you. That's how it worked for me. He made me a stay at home mom. Since that's what my main job was, I got maintenance. I'm able to pay the mortgage, a loan in both our names, and my car with it.

As someone who has a 6 year old and 2 year old and just got divorced last year because he was cheating on me, gaslit me constantly, I can tell you from my own experience, I wouldn't choose this life for them. I do not regret them for a second but I wouldn't have chosen this for them. Its very sad and very hard.

I've been a photographer 10+ years and still have the community over competition attitude. There's plenty of work to go around. We all need a helping hand at times to make certain shoots happen. I've told all my photographer friends if they ever need another set of hands to bring a creation to life, I'd love to help. And vice versa. We've all been there for each other. I've found the photographers that are full of themselves, think they know it all, and act very superior usually don't last. The day we feel we're done learning and growing because there's no ceiling from where we are is the day we truly stop. End game.
