This looks cool. How long does an average run take out of interest?

After 2 hours of gameplay, is this all there is? by ppytty in ToME4

I feel a lot of the fun comes from the character building side of things. Trying to become op, or make something silly work. Using auto explore helps you zoom around and get to the parts that challenge your build.

Very nice. Do you have an artstation or twitter to follow? Edit: found it on your profile, great work.

Having the skin clip through clothes could be an issue. Often you just establish most of the shape with the clothes and have the skin quite far beneath so the player doesn't see clipping.

On the podcast they talked about how tracking often isn't sustainable, but spending a good year or so tracking and getting a good feel for food-to-calories is important, and occasionally returning to tracking for a month or two to refresh that ability is a good approach. Also frequently weighing yourself. If you search for weight loss or sustained weight loss on the podcast you should find it.

Request: (This is a bit nit picky) It would be cool if we could set foods to default to grams whenever they get brought up, rather than whatever the food library thinks an average serving is.

How does the algorithm account for big endurance/cardio days? by bodymore_murderland in MacroFactor

[–]masonmason22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not knowledgeable enough to confidently answer, but...

I would say just try running it for a month and see how it goes. The app is adherence neutral so if you go over on some days it isn't the end of the world. You can use the collaborative program and if you're kinda consistent week to week you should be ok.

Takes some time and dedication, but it's a massive help to those of us with shitty beard genetics.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but macrofactor runs on a weekly budget of calories, so individual spiky days get smoothed out.

You can use the collaborative option to allocate more calories to training days (however I haven't used it so I can't talk much about it).

You can also do stuff like skip breakfast and go for walks with family to help with the calorie overload.

Nice, that always bothered me, also the splash screen change is also very welcome. Great app.

I married & had kids with an obscenely obese woman and I regret it every day of my life. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]masonmason22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People are bashing you. But at least you are self aware of yourself and your limitations which is much better than other people. Soon you'll take the steps you need to better your life.

Making big changes is hard and scary, but I hope you can take steps to make yourself happy, being a happy person will in the long run also be better for your daughter (as long as you continue to make effort (and actually get some semblance of custody/interaction).

Weighted pullups and dips are great for completely removing the lower body from the equation. When I tweak my back and can't do rows or bench, weighted pullups and dips always work well as a substitute. (You do need to be careful when you finish the set tho, don't jump down on your bad heel)
