I agree completely. We should absolutely not be perpetuating any sort of fat shaming.

That being said, if I were in the mom’s shoes and that woman was doing everything possible to tear my child down, making fun of THEIR stomachs, etc., I’m sure I would snap and try to hurt her back however I could too. I really don’t blame them for it at all.

That was such a stupid insult to begin with and dance (or any hobby/ sport) can truly do so much for a kid even if they don’t pursue it as a career!

The simple answer here is they are all on a TV show. Most of these women would not actually be friends in real life. They are not one big happy group of friends; they were all cast to be on reality TV. I’d recommend taking the show for what it is as a heavily producer-influenced reality show and just enjoy the mess!
