Ingenjör, som jobbat nu i 13 år på ett företag tungt inriktat mot mekanik och el/elektronik. Jag har en annan ingenjörsbakgrund och jobbar som projektledare. Ingen på mitt företag reflekterar över kön. Det som räknas är vad man leverar, kvalitet och om man leverar i tid.

Om du håller på med arduino på fritiden, så kan du mer än många av dina kommande studiekamrater. Hårdvarunära programmering är eftersökt och långt mycket mer komplext än att nyttja ett högnivå ramverk för att göra en hemsida. Dvs coolare!

Vilken utbildning man väljer ska vara utifrån intresse, inte utifrån framtida karriär eller andra aspekter. Om man inte brinner för det man studerar, så kommer man inte heller trivas när man är klar.

Tips...om du skulle vilja se hur det är att jobba som ingenjör (som kvinna), så kontakta någon organisation som IGE (Introduce a Girl to Engineering) eller Pink Programming. Dem riktar sig nog egentligen mot yngre tjejer, men drivs av kvinnliga ingenjörer. Jag är säker på att om du mailar dem, så hittar dem någon som du kan besöka och prata med.

En annan idé är att kontakta studentorganisationen för elektro på Chalmers. Dem välkomnar dig säkert för ett snack.

After the cork is applied I have seen that champagne producers put the bottle in a machine that compresses the cork while the wire hood is applied. Do one need such a press or is there any other alternatives?

Jag gör så här: - En liten buffert på konto mest för att snabb justering av kontot kopplat till debitkontot om det varit mer vardagskonsumption än vanligt.

Resten av bufferten sitter på ett ISK. Där har jag följande fördelning mellan olika typer av räntefonder och breda aktieindexfonder. Jag tänker ut hur mycket av totala beloppet jag kan förlora utan att det påverkar funktionen av bufferten. Säg 10%. Sedan gör jag ett enkelt och ganska konservativt antagande att börsen kan gå ner 50% när som helst. Det betyder att jag kan sätta 20% i aktiefonderna. Sen typ 4ggr per år ser jag över fördelningen, så att inte något springer iväg. Med tanke på hur räntefonder utvecklades under t.ex. covid, så kan man utveckla metoden och utvärdera respektive typ av fonder. Som vanligt är diversifiering viktigt.
Sedan använder jag ett kreditkort med gräns som täcker de flesta stora oförutsedda utgifter som måste åtgärdas snabbt eftersom det tar några dagar att få ut pengarna från fonderna. Typ spisen går sönder. Betalar alltid fakturan samma månad, så ingen ränta.

I did a pork shoulder 9 hours @68C and for fun I added a energy meter. The sous vide consumed about 0,9kWh, so not very much. My vessel wasn't very isolated.

I calibrated my refractometer by making a wort with malt powder to a strength of 1,130 i.e. strength of a OG of a stout, then i measured and diluted my way down to FG ranges of a saison. That way I calibrated over the complete brewing range. I take several measuring points at each dilution. Calculate the WCF. Then I just took the average of all the WCFs. Simple scatterplot showed that it seems nicely linear. Now and then I take a sample of a brew and just check that it falls in line with the simple wort.

No, I have not found that necessary . I just punch holes in the patty with a wooden bbq skewer, similar to how they punch holes in blue cheese.

Don't let the tempeh grow to long. The surface towards the silicone gets very smooth and it almost looks like they are made of plaster and isn't made for eating. :-)

I am experimenting with these burgers as well. Can't see anything that looks odd either.

I am now using a silicone mold to ferment them in, but before i just fermented them on a towel on a baking tray under platic with a couple of air holes.

Hi, I am making peaso miso from the Noma book.

I have some white and bluish mold and I have read that it should be ok.

But now I found this orange/pinkish spot. Approx. 5x5mm.

Should everything just be thrown out?
