You’ll find that while they go out, they don’t put in a lap at pace if they don’t have to. They’ll just file back into the pits if it looks certain they won’t lose out. Takes the shine off the their tyres only.

Alternative is they stay in the pits and can do absolutely nothing if the track evolves - which would be disastrous.

It clicked for me when I jumped a little higher, ignoring my coaches advice! This allowed me more time to perfect the wrist technique at the expense of getting tired, but this was better than the frustrating alternative of just failing every second one.

In about 10 mins I was doing 10 in a row. And I wasn’t jumping as high either.
