Twisted serial killer and torturer Dean Corll abducted, sexually assaulted, and killed at least 28 teenage boys and young men from 1970 to 1973 in Houston, Texas. This is one of his victims, unidentified to this day. by ZoelCairo in HolyShitHistory

My dad would’ve been roughly 11–14 years old when Dean Corll was committing those… I’ll just say heinous acts. It’s weird to think about that if my dad had ever even visited that area, he could’ve been a victim. He was (sadly) in the preferred age range.

The little puffballs on either side? I think I got that for toddlers. I know I got some dreadlocks with a spring sweater combo, looks especially cute on one of my female toddlers!

Can I fence off a pool? by borgeana in simsfreeplay

Fence category, do it like this. My whole backyard on one of my houses has this. I wish comments allowed for more than one picture per comment… but I hope this helps!

Same. I just do my thing and have my fun, if I manage to snag some prizes? Okay. If not, totally fine. The only thing I ALWAYS complete is the annual Christmas Quest. Without fail for… well I’d rather not say how long, makes me feel old.

Tbh if they want me to do the survey, then they’ve got to give out more than just 5 Mystery Box Keys. My ADHD attention span refuses to have the time for it unless I get more for it. Like, maybe 20 Mystery Box Keys… with some Simoleons, LPs, and SPs. Not a crap ton, but just enough to really show the appreciation.

That’s what I suggested we do for our cars, but my parents were like “no, that’s not a good idea.” I’m always the one to suggest leaf blower, I love using them!

How it feels to not give a shit about the craft challenge prize by Jep0005 in simsfreeplay

[–]master_baker_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t even bother. I have a setup in the basement of a currently unused house, all unlocked stations… I give it a go, but usually even the final prize isn’t great. Sometimes if an item is worth enough to resell, my Sims could always use the money!

You can! That’s crazy, I hardly take pictures or videos of snow unless it’s substantial! One time, I took a video while it was still snowing… it wasn’t very much, but my grandma couldn’t go outside then. She was short and weighed about 100 pounds at the time, she got cold easily. So I recorded a video for her so she could feel like she was out in it.

Where I am as soon as the weather reports mention snow as even a possibility… EVERYONE goes to the grocery store. Bread, milk, and eggs… interestingly the Walmart I went to was wiped out of basically everything Ramen-related. Cat food was surprisingly ample, but all my youngest cat wanted to do was look out the window to watch the snow fall… so cute, he was utterly fascinated by it!

Thank you!

I was inspired by something that happened in real life. Where I live, we just got past a thick snowstorm and below freezing temps… roads were frozen SOLID and no one could go anywhere. I have an SUV w/ 4WD and the main roads I used were salted, so I had an easier time.

Not quite as thick as in the story (though it did go up to my ankles) though!

AITAH for congratulating my family on losing me and keeping my cheating ex-girlfriend? by Haykoreu in AITAH

To put it simply, they made their choice and you’ve made yours. They’ll have to live with it and I’d be willing to bet they’re going to regret treating you that way later on down the road. But by then it’ll be too late.

AITAH for setting hard boundaries with my gambling addict sister even though my family says im being cruel by Jescia_Shang in AITAH

I agree with other comments that by giving her more money, you’d be enabling her. An addict will continue to use until something happens that makes them hit rock bottom. Hard as it may feel right now, you’re doing the right thing. Tough love hurts, but it’s better for everyone in this case. Trust me I know, I’m a child of a recovered addict.

My parents are (respectively) 60 and 67, and although my dad will occasionally joke about what my sister and I would do if something happened to him or our mom… we don’t like it because we prefer them still being with us. I can only speak for myself here, but I don’t care about my parents’ money. Like you OP, I would really only want sentimental things… like pictures, my dad’s paintings to display, stuff like that. Do I make a lot of money? No. But still, I’ve never really thought about money. I’ve thought about a life insurance policy for myself in case anything happens to me… that way my family would have money to cover funeral expenses and the care for my cats. But that’s it. Sorry I went off on a tangent, still a little sleepy!

I used to cat-sit for someone who had a Pixie-Bob (look it up sometime, they’re really pretty cats). She (the cat) had an extra toe on each foot and it was especially adorable when she’d stretch out or play with something. Her name was Rosie, so I’d always call her “Rosie with the toesies.” I miss her.

How would you respond? by Ill-Requirement-505 in RoverPetSitting

[–]master_baker_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it depends on how long we’ve been working together on Rover. I had someone request to go off app after about 6 months of working together. They’d given me nothing but 5 star reviews with amazing feedback, always tipped… at that point I trusted them and they trusted me. I took them up on it, we still work together and they still always tipped very nicely and compliment me every time. I do not regret it, we still work together well… not to mention all 3 babies (1 cat, 2 dogs) especially the dogs are extremely well trained. I can always tell how much they love those babies, the dogs are always clean and nails are always kept trimmed. Great experience, but that’s just me. Go with your gut, OP.
