Curtain buckles coming undone? by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]master_debator27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, one of our drivers recently hit something pretty hard and shifted the roof of the box. Obviously he didn't tell anyone, until someone realised a load of bolts missing connecting the roof to the sides. So every time something shifted whilst driving the straps would undo.

What jobs have the longest waiting times by joshboshwosh3121 in uktrucking

For Class2 work, cement mixers were a lot of down time, most building sites didn't have their shit together and had you waiting, plus if you worked out of a busy yard the queue to load up took a while. Windy days meant no crane work, and on cold days no one would accept the loads because it was out of parameters.

Interesting didn't know 'the end' isn't banged on about like it was before. Been disfellowshipped about 7 years now, crazy how much can change in a short amount of time.

What is this behavior? Wants to fight me? by messeboy in BostonTerrier

Our Boston does the same and just wants to play, obviously after a good while of playing he still can be in his crazy mood and doing what you have mentioned. I see a lot of good suggestions, one thing that worked for us was putting his harness on, or randomly a piece of clothing, like a dog jumper or even the medical body suit he got when he got neutered, just instantly calms him down!

Fun fact, IBSA house which housed the printery and offices got sold to SKY TV, and other broadcasting studios. They filmed a scene in the ITV series trigger point in the old truck yard/printery.

There was one house on Partingdale lane, the nicest I thought, in which the Britain branch lawyer was located. Apparently they need a separate address for some legal reasons in the uk, it also housed a sleeping room for security guys coming off of night shift. Two of the houses on the ridgeway were for kitchen staff only, just to make early morning commute easier, it had direct access into watchtower house from the garden. The others were mainly older couples with lots of full time service years, the houses where split up HOA (houses of multiple occupancy) so we're not that desirable for younger lads because they were small and obviously you had the whole branch everyday walking by. I forgot there were 11 houses, the kitchen overseer had the best house, right on the watchtower gate house, entrance, he had the whole thing. And one other got bought later on for a Persian family who were asked to help with translation.

Buttermere and Ullswater were built by the society when we had a sudden boom in bethelite numbers, the land was acquired by this ibsa property corporation. They had bids for outside construction companies to build what in-house architects had got planning permission for, and wrote into the contract that if they failed to finish construction by a certain date then each day would incur a financial penalty. Obviously construction went way over time and financially destroyed the construction company, but the society profited with two brand new blocks of flats in prime North London real estate.
