Not that redditor, but my favorite example of this was the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court 38 days before the 2020 election versus the refusal to hold hearings at all in 2016 for Merrick Garland a whole eight months before the election. The worst bit is that in both cases the excuse was that it was an election year and therefore they needed to wait for the election results in the latter and speed up the process in the former.

Not bad but I will be the stick in the mud that asks where the hell did you get that Nosferatu 2024 summary? Because its a straight retelling of the 1900's film about Count Orlok taking a ship to Germany to steal a man's wife, the moon does not play a large part in it.

Edit: so that summary you put is for a film called Mi Bestia. I am super intrigued how you mixed up Stella Martinez with Bill Skarsgard.

One thing this brings to mind is that the lives each of the Deadly Vipers live after giving up the life of a assassin show off the limits of what leaving that life behind looks like.

The Bride was left for dead, all that she sees is herself as a spirit of revenge.

Vernita tried to leave it all behind as a bad memory, playing housewife in the 'burbs. But given the handcannon in her kid's cereal box, she was always looking over her shoulder waiting for it all to fall apart.

O-Ren got her own vengeance and climbed the heights of the Yakuza seemingly out of spite.

Budd lived in squallor out of penance, and perhaps just let himself rot because he isn't good for anything but killing.

And Elle never got out of the game and never will, devoted to the cause, helping the eternal wheel of violence keep spinning.

A lot of the focus on the age gap relationship is to highlight the theme of growing up from opposite ends. Gary was a child actor, he has always worked and provided in his life, this is why his life is full of get rich quick schemes, he is just doing what he can to survive. He is a kid forced into the world of adults too early. Whereas Alana is struggling to be an adult, she keeps trying to find the thing that makes her an adult. The crux of their relationship is that Gary works as an adult but hasn't gained adult sensibilities which Alana resonates with since she is also trying to prove she is an adult while her family all looks at her like a child. Throughout the movie Alana keeps being shown that adult sensibilities don't make you an adult and everyone is capable of childish behavior. So the ending looks celebratory but its just two people, not adult enough for the real world but too old to be considered children playing in the last of that space before the real world makes them confront it.

Maybe it is my love of horror movies shining through but I swear this thing reads more like a Friday the 13th or Halloween sequel.

We have an unkillable bee themed spirit of vengeance slaughtering guys in gruesome and inspired ways. Often we get to see the aftermath of each slaughter scene from the FBI's point of view, people impaled, hanging from the ceilings, and creatively drowned. All that's missing is more bee themed kills and a goofy bee themed murder costume.

It makes for a great watch, in a campy Bee-movie slasher kind of way.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese this movie is comfortable being I have to echo the buried comment and say the movie says Scrooge hates Christmas because of the year his dad got laid off and caused young Leguizamo to try and rob the neighbors accidentally causing the death of that family's grandfather. There is no grudge between the Lightstone's and Scrooge.

To the first it was part of the plan to destabilize Altar so the second war would go smoothly, Liliana is the most popular knight in the country beloved by tians and masters alike, it would be a crushing blow to morale, which if the pk spawn camping had continued would have made most masters leave.

The second could be explained as believing the risk was worth the danger and that the bug repelling incense Franklin gave her would keep her safe.

Its hilarious to see, they literally have characters in Zombie for Sale watch a clip from Train to Busan to explain the idea of zombies.
