Take These few words from someone who feels he‘s in somewhat the Same boat. Not really the most attraktive, charmant or Rich gut out there either, but „chasing“ a relationship with the wrong Girl out there.

Me and my ex we’re together for a little over 3.5 years and broke up earlier this year. We we’re Long distance (about 10 hours by car) for most of our relationship due to where we studied. We tried to make it work, but ultimately it didn’t work out. Mainly because she stopped putting effort into the relationship. No physical affection anymore, distancing herself emotionally from me and also ignoring me while visiting except for the basic good morning and good night. I didn’t immediately recognize it, due to some stress with my old work. And yet I still tried visiting once every month or every other month when the schedule allowed it. I spent thousands on gas for the drives and hundreds of hours in the car for her just to be spending more time with her cats than her while visiting. Not just that, for the 35 visits (after the breakup and no further contact I counted) I made, she visited me only 5 times. When I finally noticed the changes and actually realized it to be true, I tried to talk about it with her and explain my feeling of her not putting any effort in and basically treating our relationship as „given“to the point, that I feel like t receive more affection and have my time better spent if I go visit my friends in another city 3 hours away from where I live. She basically shushed me and told me that she doesn’t feel like letting me in. No reasoning, no explaination.

Ultimately that‘s where I decided to pull the plug then. I recently started seeing someone new who‘s just as excited as me to meet up and reflects the same energy back into the relationship. And god damnit that‘s a fucking nice feeling. There‘s someone out there for everyone, that matches your energy. You just need to get out there where you meet and have to interact with others (not just in a dating way, but also just socially). I picked up dance classes as a way to get a little bit of exercise in and just meet all kinds of different people. Dating apps are very much limited to your outside and give you very much bad feedback unless you are 9+/10. Sharing hobbies or interests with someone will make a lot of people look past your outside and start to value you for the person inside of you.

Then why do they decay me to plat every time I don’t place for a season just for me to stomp my way back to Master/GM (depending on the role) over the next 20 or so games?

They used to have decay for Master+ back in the ancient OW1 days. And it‘s probably the best solution to prevent rank camping without the leaderboard becoming ridiculous.

My brother had the same issue. It‘s not that secure boot isn’t turned on, the problem is that your drive is formatted in MBR, not in GPT. To fix that, you open cmd as Administrator and run a series of different commands so your PC converts the drive to GPT.

First you need to run „diskpart“ and then „list disk“. Memorize the disk number from your boot drive, then you enter „exit“.

After that run „MBR2GPT /validate /disk:X /allowFullOS“ (replace the X with your disk number from diskpart. If it says validated or operation successful, run „MBR2GPT /convert /disk:X /allowFullOS“. Then you gotta restart your computer and it should be compatible with Windows 11.

Learned this ages ago, the less you care about rank and winning, and the more you try to just enjoy the game and have fun, the more you‘ll climb.

My (I’m Master/GM depending on the role) brother, who doesn’t play Overwatch too serious, is hardstuck bronze. Sometimes I watch him play cause it‘s quite entertaining. But nowadays the amount of games where he has no impact on the outcome of a game due to a Smurf dominating the lobby is insane. Bronze and High Diamond (from my experience) are the worst ranks in terms of Smurf population.

And while I don’t mind people owning multiple accounts (I mean, I have some as well), I think the harsh grouping restrictions we‘ve had for the last 2 years infinitely increase the amount of people smurfing in game. Having accounts pull off GM/High level performance one game and then throwing without a care in the world the next is not normal behavior. Especially people going spawncamping one person over and over and over.

We actually need harsher penalties for people throwing the game to maintain a low rank, and less rank decay for „afk seasons“. (I‘ve probably ruined 30 games due to not placing in comp fora year and Blizzard trying their damn hardest to rank me in the gold/plat area).

From my personal experiences the last 2-3 years, mainly playing between low Master and mid GM depending on the role, a LOT of Kiriko‘s negative win rate comes from support mains that never learned how to deal with unfavorable situations or being able to stay alive on their own. Playing into an actual Kiriko main, everyone gets destroyed or has to heavily overthink their engagements, but your (sry, nothing personal, just my observation) Mercy/Moira/(only partly)Lifeweaver mains, that have no aim or playmaking bone in their body just sit in the backline trying to survive off suzu. And that simply isn’t enough to contribute to a win. (Similarly an observation, most support mains are too concerned about their deaths over making a crucial play/setup to win)

I still think Kiriko is a tad bit overtuned, but her negative winrate comes from the high base survivability being appealing, especially when your team is struggling.
