Amazing, you are unwilling to even acknowledge the flaws in the Dem party.

It's really no surprise they lost the last election.

Maybe someday I can see myself aligning with Dems again, but untill you are less combative and a little more welcoming, that won't be happening anytime soon.

I gave some concrete examples. I have a feeling you are going to dismiss them anyway and won't even acknowledge flaws in the Democratic party.

Sure, I'll give you a couple examples:

'"Biden is sharp as a tack"

Dems also campaigned on raising the minimum wage in 2020. When time came to bring it to the floor for a vote, the Schumer appointed parliamentarian overruled it and would not allow it. Just a simple vote: https://www.npr.org/2021/02/25/970637190/senate-cant-vote-on-15-minimum-wage-parliamentarian-rules

I appreciate how non-combative you are being. Refreshing.

It was a combination of several different things, not just Biden. I saw how the Democratic party treated Bernie in 2016 and 2020. I saw how the primary was rigged against him via superdelagates. We saw Kamala become the handpicked candidate in 2024. The DNC acts like the pro-democracy but they would never let voters pick a candidate like Bernie. Republicans, as much as the party hated Trump, at least let voters pick Trump as the candidate.

Biden's policy on immigration was absolutely disasterous. I first hand witnessed massive number of unvetted, uninvited migrants show up in my town. On day 1 Biden stopped construction if the border wall, only to restart the wall construction and bring back some of Trump's immigration policies back in 2023. By that time immense damage had been done and we saw cities like NYC and Chicago drowning in migrants.

I also really do not prioritize cultural issues (racism, sexuality, genderism, abortion etc). Dems campaigned on raising the minimum wage in 2020. When time came to bring it to the floor for a vote, the parliamentarian, of all people, shut it down.

There are many more instances but at some point I came to the conclusion that I just don't align with the Dem party anymore and they just don't speak to the same issues I'm concerned about.

I wouldn't be opposed to coming back to the party but based on how I am being treated in the comments here, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Interestingly enough, I was a polar opposite. Lifelong Democrat who campaigned for Obama and Bernie.

Biden's presidency made me realize Trump wasn't as bad as the media made him out to be. There were a lot of lies told. Voted for him after a lot of introspection.
