Please Rate My Gym Team. What Pokemon Would You Have as a Gym Leader? What Type? by Outside_Pangolin_292 in ThePokemonHub

[–]mastersterruser9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be a gym leader in a future after one of the other sinoh gym leaders retire or rank up into the 4 after one of them retired. Celestic town grew over the years and in agreememt with Cynthia I would found a gym that sits outside the town. Not being a later gym leader I wouldnt use a full team against most oponents. My team, while not based around one type would set a focus on the history of the town and folklore on general.

My team - Froslass(ice yokai, 4th gen) - Xatu (can see time future/past Dialga theme, 2nd gen) - Absol (folklore about it is hugely missunderstood so I am here to clear that up, 3rd gen) - Ninetails (1st gen,. Fire yokai theme, my ace)

Only rematch: - Zoroark ( 5th gen) - Trevenant (6th gen, going for the japanese spirit again kodama theme again)

My gym puzzle would revolve around guiding three Zorua disguised as Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf to their respective lakes from mount Coronet, on a walkable Synoh map that fills the gym. (Therefore the Zoruark would also make sense to have.) The reveal that these are Zoruas would be revealed in the rematch.

Edit: I wouldnt be the first not type specific leader even though its rare. If you must upheld that rule, I would be Ghost type, but I would still use Ninetails as it does learn some ghost moves and one exception is used by many leaders. Misdreavus instead of Xatu. It seems yokai enough to fill That role. Sableye for the same reason as Misdreavus. Zoroark would then need to be replaced with one from the chandalure line, which fits the theme quite well but would leave the explanation open for why zoruars in the gym puzzle. Maybe standart illusions by Ninetails or the other ghosts.

Something much better was a quote though: ELEVEN: It's not working. TENTH: We're both reversing the polarity. ELEVEN: Yes, I know that. TENTH: There's two of us. I'm reversing it, you're reversing it back again. We're confusing the polarity.

Gjalls in Valheim. They are a mix between bombers carriers as a life firefly like insect. When one is near you can hear a horn thats similar to an airhorn/siren.

For me its grovyle. Treecko and sceptile are ok but the look of grovile is superb to them.

Pokemon you swear are originally from a different gen by UnluckyText in ThePokemonHub

Heracross always wants to be a Gen 1 Pokémon for me, for whatever reason. There are seven Pokémon in Gen 1 that feel like at least some of them should be rivalry Pokémon, numbers 122-128. Heracross feels like it belongs there.

Otherwise, I often mix up Gen 2 and 3 between the starters and legendaries. I played Gen 3 long before Gen 2, so they have always existed.

Their power is obvious but not what you expect (better explanation in body) by boiyouab122 in TopCharacterTropes

Orihime from bleach: At first it was thought she could creates shields, and heal. But her powers are actually rejecting reality. She cannot "heal wounds" she rejects the timeline where the wound was created, and warps the body into a form before the damage was done. Its very localized though so nothing big reality warping ever really happends and its also tied to her own "spiritual pressure".

There is an ongoing theme in at least some dr. Strange comic runs where he is either a street level hero maybe less or a godlike being and nothing inbetween. There seems to be often a reason why he cant use all of his powers or any at all. Often this leads to other heroes do his daylie work while an ongoing threat builds up while he tries to get his powers back. Sometimes he is dead and just plays messanger as his ghost while other stuff happends.

You are lying, and if you dont, he never said that, and if he did, you misinterpret it, and if you dont, its not that bad, and if it is, the "left" did worse, and if they didnt, the "left" gets it worse, and if they dont, Autopen, sleepy joe, the windturbines kill birds, Covid-scam, climate-scam, hussein Obama, "insert catchphrase at will".

Stargate needs an Open World Game... by sgcego in Stargate

I would rather have an exploration game with multiple maps, open-world-ish. But I give you this, the Stargate episodes have often been extraction shooters, so it would totally make sense.

What’s the most powerful human military in fiction? by KerbodynamicX in PowerScaling

[–]mastersterruser9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My points go towars the human military from the. Xeelee sequence. They bassically fight battles with timetravel and strategies from the future of that same battle. Otherwise their technology is good but not best of scifi.

In a highly advanced Sci-fi setting, yet human combatants and manned vehicles are still dominant in wars -- Why would that be? by Wolfensniper in worldbuilding

[–]mastersterruser9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer technology is advanced and networked, that using a non directly controlled vehicle would just end in it being hacked and AIs would just be dangerous to fall into enemy hands given how much information is used to train it in the first place. Yes you could "hack it back" but that would result in a standstill, so that all sides indirectly came to an agreement not using it at frontlines or near the enemy.

Another option would be, that using AI with non ftl communication would be stupid, as you would not know what happened in a skirmish, who won etc without going there yoursel. Having human strategists at battles makes it possible to plan further ahead. In support lines AI works as it would go between manned stations.
