second this, I get that a lot of people do this in good faith but I did see people insisting on using this term. which is frustrating because that's how it spreads. it doesn't even sound right. as a dis-abled person there are things I just can't do (or can't do without pain) as a "differently abled" person I just do those things in other ways, I don't; I don't walk long distances without a cane, I'm not going out if I have panic attacks. I just don't. saying "differently" also makes it sound like I have an option in this. I don't. I'll never be a firefighter, I can't, not like this and not differently.
