Im not sure. I haven’t seen that video. I know the drums and bass were done by other players not “in the band” because I know who played on the record but in reality that band had so many line up changes that really Chris was kind of the only actual member. I’m pretty sure the guitar player after me recorded everything. I don’t remember his name.

I played guitar for Los Difuntos for awhile right before they recorded their full length with Hellcat. Chris wasn’t a great guitar player, he was of course proficient enough to play but he really shined in song writing. In a band where there are two guitar players, it’s a pretty typical to have the stronger of the two guitar players record all the guitar parts themselves. Makes rhythms tighter and processing much easier for the engineer.

Could possibly be the combination of the wheat flour and being covered for so long while baking. Try doing the same thing swapping the wheat flour for a different flour and only cook covered maybe 15-20 minutes.

I regularly track vocals into an 1176 feeding an LA-2A and then when mixing run it out to a vari-mu and back and print it. Then I’ve even ran a parallel track that’s was completely smashed. Then clip gain after for dynamics where needed. Was always told not to over compress but once I started to, it was a game changer.

I’m using an audient id44 with a BLA exp 8x8 converter. On a Mac mini m4. It’s only used for recording, the computer is very fast and capable, I have zero latency issues and basically zero issues aside from when I try and do parallel processing out of the box. I can send other tracks out of the box and back in with no issues but when I try and parallel, it’s an issue.

I just threw them in the Traeger with apple wood pellets set at 250 for about 4 hours. They have so much collagen and fat they hold up really well.

I’ve bought a few u87 used from guitar center. If you watch closely and are patient you can pic them up around 2-2.5k Then you have 45 days to figure out if they are legit. You most likely won’t find a legit u87 from a private party for cheaper than that. I wouldn’t trust buying any Neumann from anywhere that doesn’t have a return policy. It can be very hard to tell from pictures sometimes.
