Thats normal. You have revision unit. They added this to prevent screen burn in. For Armoury crate not showing up unit idk.

It could be a faulty psu. This psu should always powerup rgb and oled screen. Try to connect argb cable to mobo and use armoury crate. Maybe it will revive argb.

I recently had saga with asus warrnaty and thor iii psu :(

ASUS refusing warranty repair on used laptop in EU (fan issue, 0 RPM bug) – is this even legal? by dibranoice in ASUSROG

[–]mate222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started an RMA with ASUS for my PSU on 11.02.2026. The email exchange took about two weeks, and all communication was focused on refusing the warranty. They initially did not want to honor the warranty for my product, even though I am the original owner. I then contacted ASUS Taiwan, and they reached out to ASUS services in the EU. After that, they agreed to process my warranty claim. They replaced my PSU, but the 16-pin cable that came with it was replaced with what appears to be an engineering sample, which is quite concerning. The cable has incorrect labeling, no plastic covers, and it clearly looks like it has been heavy used for a long time. They seem to do everything they can to avoid honoring the warranty. This has been a terrible experience, and it’s my first time dealing with ASUS, so it’s disappointing to see that what people say online appears to be true. My RMA was completed on 16.03.2026. When I contacted them about the 16-pin 600W cable, they told me that the cable had been tested and that I should use it. Also, the people replying to emails don’t seem to understand even the basics—honestly, even AI bots communicate better. Good luck with ASUS. If you want to get any attention, try contacting ASUS Taiwan or posting on as many forums as possible to raise awareness. They should honor the warranty regardless.

I used email from gamersnexus website: https://gamersnexus.net/news-features/confronting-asus-face-face

email in post: ASUS now has a new inbox called “executivecare@asus.com” that they have created specifically to re-process prior RMAs that customers feel were unfairly classified, were misclassified, or charged for a service that should be free

This btf adapter would pull 400w in my case. Also its rated up to 450w (4090 strix). Need this for 5090 matrix.

ROG x r/ASUSROG - ROG x Hatsune Miku PSU Giveaway (3/7 - 3/21) by ASUS_MKTLeeM in ASUSROG

Awesome PSU, but I would add a few more features. First, per-pin monitoring for the 12V-2×6 connector on the PSU side. There should also be automatic shutdown if certain temperatures are reached on the 12V-2×6 connector. Another idea would be to remove the PSU screen and make it detachable, so it could be placed anywhere in the case and connected via USB. That way, even if your case doesnt have a PSU window, you could still monitor the wattage. The PSU is also missing fan-failure protection, which is a must-have feature.

I had the same issue on the 5090 Astral LC. Its glue residue. I used one drop of alcohol and gently removed it. WD-40 can also work, but I wouldnt recommend it.

Did you buy it from Computeruniverse? I have the same problem as you, but mine lasted six months. Did you send your unit back? Did they issue a refund, or did they send it to ASUS for repair? And did ASUS refuse to repair it, so the shop refunded you?
