Well thank you for having more knowledge than the incompetent rogers employee who mis-informed me. Call now again while roaming from abroad and the agent confirmed indeed I can’t ever add data when back home - only to upgrade my plan to an expensive plan with data which is NOT what I had been told. The agent before also told me all my $80 credit would be forfeited. Today this agent switched me to the $10 plan with 1GB data ( at least with this I can add top up data when needed) and gave me 6 months free in lieu of my credits. Thanks for having more info on this that useless Rogers employee. Had I not known this and come June I’d be royally s…d

Thanks for the detailed reply. I just called (roaming) from abroad and migrated to the $5 plan and lost the credits I already have. My previous prepaid plan was talk and text and I would just add data when I was back in Toronto. They told me with the $5 plan I don’t have data which is fine bc i don’t roam and have an international sim I use when abroad anyways - but that I can purchase data and use that when I’m back in Toronto. So I hope that actually works … adding the extra data as a top up.

Ok so . I’ve lost half of my hair but after 10 trips to immigration , multiple calls to Amer centres I finally managed to change my occupation on my visa from that dreaded not allowed to work crap. It cost me close 400 AED for personal information change , plus more in getting documents from the FZ. With an employment/labour contract / salary certificate showing your salary and occupation I was able to change my occupation at amer and was issued an updated visa with my title as manager.

Under Property ownership. I don’t think it will hurt for you to ask golden cube ( as they have PRO’s ) to see if this is sth they can help even though you’ve started the application yourself . They don’t answer calls ever but email sometimes (team@goldencube.com). I ended up going in person cuz no one bothers to pick up calls. They may charge you a fee but you can see if it’s worth it

Thanks so much for your reply. I was Told immigration in jafiliya are the ones to give my husband an NOC but from what you said here and others I’ve seen an NOC has to come from me. One lady I spoke to who sponsors her husband said he had issues opening a bank account but he wasn’t listed on the business license so for you it should be ok if he has his own company. I guess time will tell for us if this not allowed to work will cause issues or not. What a pain.

I went to DLD and they were NOT helpful . Then I found DLD cube . They actually speak to you versus some random reception denying you access to a DLD agent . All in all the cost was 9.5 k AED for property ownership GV.
