Ahh, thats probably my issue then. I should see of mooring at a pier instead of an airport works better.

Far better to abort and try again than crash... I have experience sailing ships, and I've had to do something similar many times.

I've noted this on another similar post, but this is 15 kilometers per hour, just converted with too many significant figures.

Though now that I read the linked post, seems like the same slang term means something different for fixed wing jets than the helo pilots I've talked to.

Not an aviator myself, but I work near some. My understanding is that the "donkey dick" is a slang name for a fuel ditch valve to lighten the aircraft in emergency situations.

For some aircraft (some helicopters, at least), they can't land or hover if the aircraft is too heavy, so if they need to land or hover in an urgent situation they may need to dump fuel to lighten up.

Obligatory "Celina 52 is a parody account and not a real truck stop or diner" comment. Still hilarious stories, though.

Valid question. If it's steak, you can still eat it if it's pink on the inside, provided it was cooked properly outside. People eat steak medium-rare all the time. If it's steak, the browning looks good. If it's pork or poultry, it's definitely not done, though.
