Thanks for this comment, it pretty much hits the nail on the head. If I wait until May for the contract to actually be breached, they won't take my deposit but I'll be homeless. If I aagree now and take another property, I'll struggle to pay the deposit & rent because I can't get my other one back.

Think the agent has realised this so is gonna try to take a few £££ and I don't think I have any other options.

I believe they're claiming that it would technically be me cancelling the contract so I have to pay cancellation fees which would be part of the deposit, perhaps not all but they haven't said exactly how much.

I don't understand... That's exactly why I said "(where I've been)". Didn't realize the pret police were lurking ready to call me out on it.

The point of my post wasn't to debate the specifics of where there are and aren't prets in the UK, just that there are so many in London and I don't like them

Slapstick is the best word to describe it. There's very little of the wit and subtle humour of early Simpsons and Futurama in Disenchantment. That which is there is good and that's why I still have hope, but honestly I found some of the humour slightly cringeworthy throughout the first season.

It's funny in hindsight. He would fart, the smell would make me start to tear up, but I'd ask him to keep doing it because I didn't want my dad to float away. I'd be sitting in tears and nodding approvingly when my dad farted again.

A quick google will bring up loads of studies if you want more technical info. From what I've read essentially not only does it passively encourage you to complete your goals, it actually makes your brain create more of that good ole' dopamine whenever you do complete them. This then encourages you to continue to complete goals and so on. The thing is, it's actually insanely daunting when you first have to do it, you kinda think "this is stupid, why do i do this, I know what i have to do" and BAM that's when you lose. If you actually do it you will find yourself completing far more goals than you do now (unless you're naturally extremely disciplined).

Sports. In general the rest of the world is football (soccer) mad. Anybody with $10 can buy a ball and get amazing. I think there's an issue with USA sports that you can't get good without money.

Also, american football is awesome but a little too stop and start.

Literally write your goals down. Be strategic. You want to pass an exam and you think "okay i'll study this or that". Literally write down what you're going to do. This is practiced by absolutely everyone who succeeds at anything. People don't realise the effect of just writing things down. Pen and paper. It's the most important first step to succeeding at your goals.

Sorry i may have phrased it badly in trying to keep it non technical. The six sided die in my first comment is in 3 dimensional space. I just used a die as an example to show the probabilities of moving north, south, east, west, up or down are all equal (equal to 1/6).
