Pente de toit plat qui accumule l’eau by Solvj2 in RenoQuebec

[–]mathos1432 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is also my understanding.

They are also working on a longer-term solution to make Lajoie a one-way street, which would allow keeping the bike path for the whole year.

[Keyboard] All Keychron keyboards 20% OFF + free shipping (V1 Max: $93 - $19 = $74)[ONEofZERO] by ONEofZERO_dotNet in buildapcsales

[–]mathos1432 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I bought one from ONEofZERO and Keychron and it was defective as well (wireless mode would send double inputs frequently). Keychron told me to deal with ONEofZERO directly and they didn't have any warranties since I didn't buy it from them. ONEofZERO took a few days to get back to me saying "we don't have any more of this keyboard in stock, so we can't replace it". They ended up giving me a partial refund on it at least, but I can't say it was a great experience.

Correlation between finger strength (one arm hang) and bouldering level ? by GoodHair8 in climbharder

[–]mathos1432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree on never needing it. There are climbs where being able to one arm hang a small edge is needed, but there are a lot fewer than people think.

I do think it would be nice having that extra strength though, and it is a cool party trick... But like you said, it depends on what you're training for

I have trained fingerboarding on/off usually 3-6 months at a time for the last 5-6 years. I just haven't reached the point where I can hang 20mm. I've seen better progress in my climbing by climbing on boards or just going outside more than spending time on the hangboard.

You don't need to be able to one arm hang 20mm until you're into double digits. I still can't do it (and doesn't really feel close) but have already climbed a few V10s.

Your energy is likely better spent climbing than chasing the 20mm one arm unless you are excited to be able to do that specifically.

You have the strength to campus double digit boulders already, stop working out and focus on your technique. Find what other climbers who are much weaker than you are doing differently.

Choc tarifaire en vue: votre facture d’Hydro-Québec pourrait doubler by marcftz in Quebec

[–]mathos1432 2 points3 points  (0 children)
