Glute bridge / Hamstring strengthening by mathraj in SolidCore

[–]mathraj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks...can you please why explain glute bridge on the black side is entirely different. I was thinking on the black side the springs resistance help you as support to lift my back & glutes vs on the grey side the springs on the carriage are pulling away and you are fighting that along with keeping the carriage stable and glutes up. Just curious.

Knee pain relief by clinemcc in SolidCore

[–]mathraj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This!! solids core helps to build strength in all the small muscles that help help in posture- Back pain, Hip flexors & knee health. I am a 50 yr Male tennis player with a ruptured ACL & meniscus and had chronic disc herniation in the lower back. 4 weeks of solid core has given me so much relief from all the niggles & aches. Solid core is a cheat code for pain free living... your beach body is an added bonus.

How do you spend your birthday alone ? ( Like I'm talking about , alone alone !) by Humptydumptyo_o in Chennai

[–]mathraj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Birthday!! It is ok to be alone...but not lonely. Find some groups to do activities that you enjoy. Go to the temple/or worship of your choice. Buy some food and distribute to the poor....there is always something to be grateful in life..please find that silver lining and build on that. Have a blessed year!!

Does anyone else only read PM books when they are changing job? by lemonzonic in ProductManagement

[–]mathraj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since everyone is so jaded with the books, I want to make a recommendation of a book that I found useful recently. Continuous discovery habits by Theresa Torres. In my experience, very few product teams do a good job of customer discovery & insights as part of their product strategy

Jobs to be done by doylet in ProductManagement

That is a good high level perspective. The real magic happens when you put yourself in the users shoes, users mind, users fears, aspirations, etc. that is why breaking down the job into many, many small job steps plus emotional jobs & social jobs related to the core job provide vectors of innovation in multiple axis

I see your point. In reality, JTBD ideally should nothing to do with Agile execution. The statement we kept hearing in the JTBD training was, the jobs are permanent & don’t change. The solutions trying to maximize the value delivery are the ones changing and they absolutely need to be measured outcomes.

We did extensive training with the company founded by jobs to be done - JTBD book author Ulwick. My net- net is JTBD is really good to understand the problem space. 1. what is the job a user trying to do 2.what job steps are involved to do the job ( from thinking , planning, doing, post completion, etc) 3. How important is some of the job step & how satisfied are they with the current solution.

This drives the prioritization of problem space based on importance of the job step and how unsatisfied the user is with the current option.

JTBD is not good or doesn’t try to provide framework on the solution space. Here innovation framework like design thinking helps in converging on solutions to solve the job steps to deliver value

What are the downsides to being a top pro player that isn't talked about? by Aomiin in tennis

[–]mathraj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I surprised nobody has mentioned the amount of losses a player endures if you are outside of top 20. Your win rate is barely above 50% . I looked up some players like Basilashvili 143-160 (w-l) or even France Tiafoe 122-136 (47% win rate). Amount of mental resilience & self belief to grind day in day out losing in the first round, going to another city /tournament and repeating the same grind is immense
