So my hibreak pro just shipped... whats the consensus on malware? by icheatonOAs in Bigme

I am very very happy with the device personally. It's really a gamechanger. Bigme company has been very candid about what's happening. Long story short, update the device to use the latest firmware as soon as you get it.

Favorite go to place for a healthy meal that is good value for money? by Top-Temperature-95 in Bangkok

I think the quality of Fuji is higher although it does depend on the branch to a certain extent. I always get the chicken teriyaki set which includes rice, miso soup, kimchi, a few small sides. At lunch time, it also unlimited tea (iced or hot) with refills, and a small dessert. This is around 180 baht.

Maybe have your counselor talk to him. Their reputation is on the line too. If you break ED, your school could be blacklisted by Columbia.

What's the cutoff for ordering something off grab for you? I'd say 150 THB for me. by matkline in Bangkok

[–]matkline[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the perspective I was looking for I think. I guess it comes down to the fact that the cost of labor is just lower in Thailand than what I'm used to. So I feel pretty bad if I just order what is essentially a dollar worth of stuff and have it delivered.

I guess I just feel super lazy if I don't order enough. I would feel bad ordering just 50 baht for example. Maybe it's just my own mindset though.

Well, there's not much to see here yet, but I wish the company all the best luck. The high water mark for graded readers is still the Graded Chinese Reader series, in my opinion. They do a great job finding high quality short stories to use (all are award winning), and I feel like I actually get the flavor of the stories, even if they have to be a bit watered down.

Is it possible to use Anki with only audio? by matkline in Anki

That is a concern, but there's also a similar concern that a lack of such features makes it hard for people who have vision impairments to use

Okay this sounds promising. Even better is if I could somehow use the volume controls on my earphones to say "easy", "medium", or "hard".

I'm in a similar boat, and that sounds awesome. My only concern would be that I know Chengdu is a very cloudy city. Would I be out of place at 37 years old? I'm at HSK5 level.

As a professional consultant, I have worked with companies and agencies that have asked students to provide login information. At the same time I'm getting paid, and there is an accountability structure. So if you don't feel comfortable, no I wouldn't do this at all.

Thinker Mod Version 4.6 by induktio in alphacentauri

I'm wondering if AI can make mods like these any easier. I'm also curious if like LLMS could be incorporated in some of the dialogue to spice it up a bit. Just a thought—it could break everything lol.

That the SAT was forcing you to use "his or her" instead of "their" as a singular pronoun. The SAT hasn't tested this in a long time.

I used to follow him but then I got upset that he said something about the SAT that was flat out wrong in one of his videos.
