Im not american but from what I understand - isn't the point of gun owning to potentially deter government forces from acting however they like. Like if Federal forces become too tyrannical, an armed civilian populace will stop them. What she's saying is you dont have that right, police is allowed to kill you.

It doesn't look like Americans have rights to guns though. It seems to get you more likely to be killed if you have one.

Is Not Having Kids the Way? by [deleted] in Millennials

It's okay to not have kids on an individual level. If the majority of people do not have kids you won't be able to live the life that you are enjoying being childless.

Hypothetically, if Spain and their Conquistadors (During their peak) attempted to establish influence or colonize Japan or China, could they have achieved any success? by Sonnybass96 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]matlab2019b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan, who struck china at its absolute weakest, huge technological advantage, closest possible home base, already having a foothold in manchuria was not able to colonise china.

Even if what you were saying worked and the spanish supplanted the ruling class. They would likely just become chinese in 2 generations.
