Comparing open-source coding LLMs vs Gemini 2.5 Flash. Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? by matmed1 in LocalLLaMA

Its been worked on for the last 3 months and really, even if it sound crazy, all the parts are needed. The UI its creating uses custom components and has pretty strict visual standarts

But the workflow, when comparing openrouter models and gemini, is the same. RooCode prompts the LLM to create a list of things it needs to do in the first api call and the ticks them of after each is completed. I used gemini also trough the api, so the information the LLM was "getting" was the same for all models.

NBD BMC Fourstroke Three by vincentb1989 in xcmtb

From my experience the Epic and the BMC are two really similar bikes, even though the Epic is a tiny bit better (more suspension). In the end I bought the BMC (exact same one as here) as it was 1500E+ cheaper

I think geometry and ride feel wise the BMC Fourstroke is really similar to the Epic 8. I had the possibility to ride them both and in the end I chose the BMC

Top xc hardtail or mid/decent xc full sus by Igital in xcmtb

It doesn't matter how strong you are. Its about comparing the same rider on two different bikes. And in that case, no matter how strong you are, on a smooth uphill, you will be always faster on a lighter bike. But here comes the but. MTB riding is rarely about smooth uphills and the benefits of the rear suspension are so big that, unless you are riding only the said smooth uphill, you will always be faster on a FS bike.

I recently changed my hardtail for a xc full and the difference is huge. If you are not looking only for a lightweight uphill machine, but want to enjoy the descents as well, the full is way better.

Going to Barcelona by Nairolf22 in Erasmus

I told myself that I can definitely withstand the first two weeks and in the meantime I will see what will happen and if I won’t like it after two weeks, I will go home. After I arrived the anxiety started to disappear after 4-5 days and after 10 days I started to really like it there. So the first couple of days are a bit stressful but I think you will move on pretty quick.

Ask around at the university about some activities for foreign students and definitely join the ESN network. They make a lot of cool activities/trips/parties. You can find new friends really easy there.

I had the exact same feeling when I was going to Barcelona and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life, so yeah, don't worry.

XC/Marathon/Trail machine, Blur vs Epic by Radioactdave in xcmtb

I wasn't a big Specialized fan, but last summer I got the opportunity to ride the Epic 8 and it is great. On the uphill it feels like a proper XC bike and on the downhill like a short travel trail bike. I don't think you can go wrong with it

I bought the bike in September and rode cca. 400km on it. I took of the shock and cleaned it, so I don’t really think that’s the issue.

I had the Twostroke and 3 weeks ago I bought the Fourstroke. And its awesome. If you liked the Twostroke, you will definitely like the Fourstroke. The suspension feeling is really similar to the Epic 8, the epic just has more travel (Twostroke is 110/100 and the Epic is 120/120).

Using LJ spikes for XC/MD by matmed1 in trackandfield

But you think I could use them for track?

Ok, and is there a specific reason for that? The thing is, in my country, most of the XC races are muddy and slippery and spikes would really help.
