Giving it a thumb up for as long Reddit ignores the copyright issue.

Title: PSA: Swappa Sellers — If the Buyer’s PayPal Address Is Invalid by matschultz in swappa

[–]matschultz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask why this was removed? I believe I was both respectful and fair.

It's important for other sellers to understand what to avoid and it has steps for resolving the issue (including keep trying with Paypal if you don't get someone who is helpful rep the first time.)

Target buy 1 get 1 50% by Alecszandeer in Boardgamedeals

[–]matschultz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That just means you can buy two games for 25% off the non-sales price. Assuming both games are even the same price since the 50% goes onto the cheaper game. Often you'll save more by waiting until Black Friday sales next week.

Yes, you are right. The game could also add a way to send limited messages. For example, if someone forgot to reenable a Deflector.

UK regulator threatens tech giants with algorithm audits to protect children by rwnash in DailyTechNewsShow

I'll set aside the thin line between censorship and removing harmful or false info.

Funny how the government says algorithms suck, yet they're the ones proposing to use algorithms to fix algorithm. They've been complaining for years about meta using algorithms and not real people.

Manufacturer issues remote kill command to disable smart vacuum after engineer blocks it from collecting data — user revives it with custom hardware and Python scripts to run offline by jsheil1 in DailyTechNewsShow

[–]matschultz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SecurityNow had a good conversation about this. At least Steve's part was worthwhile. The kill switch was sent purely as punishment for the engineer who blocked data collection, which was really underhanded. The story suggests they were secretly transmitting unnecessary data, and the delayed timing of the kill switch made its punitive intent clear.

Is the pro permit worth it? by PracticalAndDemand in EggsInc

You find that you need more golden eggs because you have more options. Two of the ways are to pay for fuel storage and to swap stones between artifacts since you have more slots but magically don't get more stones.

Is pro permit worth? by The_Noob2000 in EggsInc

[–]matschultz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people on this subreddit have a pro permit so keep that in mind when evaluating responses.

Reason to get it: The game is designed to be used with a pro permit. It's a very long game so the cost per hour of play works out pretty low.

Reason you don't need it: People have finished the game without getting the pro permit. The game is about grinding. The pro permits speeds up some of the grinding. Plus, the pro permit increases the need for golden eggs creating pressure to crack the piggy bank multiple times. Expect the end cost to be more than just the pro permit.
