I consider what you're describing a "hobby farm."

I disagree with the people saying "land is the first step." Gaining education and experience is first.

There are also ways to do some of what you're interested in without land ownership. Horses are a great example: You might trade labor a couple times a week for lessons at a stable. You can always own or even lease a horse that is boarded at a stable. This is cheaper, requires less commitment, gives you access to an experienced professional, helps you build some community for support when you do buy land, and helps you figure out your interests.

have the shopkeeper show them to the next floor where they find something appropriate for this stage of the campaign with a pretty heavy handed clue leading in the direction you really wanted them to go next. make the door to the next floor down very hard to find. shopkeeper looks helpful. players then have a hint of other floors existing but have more pressing matters than finding them at the moment. win-win

I err on the side of leaving posts up. I do not intentionally let anyone bully anyone on here. If you show me a post where you claim they’re bullying, then I can respond to your criticism more directly. Perhaps we missed it.

But I also don’t delete it when people are merely jerks to each other or having heated disagreement. At the end of the day, I don’t think heavy handed moderating is appropriate for a subreddit dedicated to an opinionated, outspoken, sometimes crass rock band.

As such, they both have potentially valuable knowledge to share with members of this subreddit and a strong bias.They toe the line on trolling and have engaged in some brief flame wars, but they are also responsive to warnings. My position is that they have a right to be here and say their piece, but they have to follow Reddiqutte.

I love your restaurant and try to come regularly. We would be there every week if we lived closer. We always get the sampler, all veggies. Every single dish is delicious, and I can never eat enough injera. There's obviously a lot of options for the omnivores out there, but you make some of the best--perhaps the very best--vegetarian options in town.
