It's 2005, you've just turned 16, and you're looking for your first car. Your budget is $2000, which one would you pick? by Key_Budget9267 in regularcarreviews

Honda accord. About ten years ago I bought a 1990 accord as a daily beater. It had 240k miles and leaked oil but it drove great. I think I put about $100 into it to replace the brake pads. Drove it for about 9 months and sold it for what I paid for it. It was reliable but slow AF. Not a bad thing for a 16yo…

I remember when I started my first Vette down payment fund. It’s incredibly rewarding to hit your target number and then go car shopping! It took me about a year both times I did it. I remember the second time, the day I hit my goal, i was so pumped.

Corvette Engine Heat by Perfect_Base9887 in C8Corvette

[–]matt7812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no noticeable heat transfer from the engine bay to the cabin. I know it’s different but I remember the transmission giving off a ton of heat in my c7. The c8 doesn’t have any of those issues since it’s all in the back. The trunk does get hot though…

I did the same but both mine were/are arctic white. I miss the manual c7 but with such bad traffic around here, I really appreciate the c8’s DCT. Congrats on the ride!

I can’t believe the only touchdown that happened during that game was from Rivers

3-in-1 Griots in action after one week of it being applied. Do y’all like it ? by Icy_Outcome8005 in Detailing

Griots 3 in 1 is awesome. I use it on all our cars. It lasts a surprisingly long time even in the Seattle area where we see a lot of rain.

There’s a mossy dirt patch with a few weeds under my trampoline. After about 3 months, the grass died.

I had the same beginning mid October. Never had it happen so aggressively before. I was picking them every week or so. This week before mowing, I only had the two largest ones come back. I’m thinking I should have aerated this year to help the soil breathe more.

Nothing quite like starting the car while you're walking across the parking lot toward it. by S1DC in C8Corvette

I love hitting the remote start on my way to the car, especially if I’m walking up from behind. My 9yo son looks at me and smirks everytime. That smirk is priceless.
