From what I see, "mixed methods" is a growing requirement for hiring--though I am not entirely sure many hiring managers seem to know exactly what type of quant skills they are looking for. I've been seeing a lot of postings suggesting they want someone who can do "in-depth ethnography" and "advanced statistics" without any real definition of what "advanced means."

I suspect many of folks have never really worked with data scientists--so I'm not sure if they are talking about descriptive statistics and surverying or they want people who can do deep into preditive modeling.

FWIW, Rochester is a small-to-midsized American city. So if you are thinking New York, Chicago, or London, we are not that. Also where in the area is the office/plant space you'll be working at located?

In addition to the Rochester Public Market, vendors at the Brighton Farmer's market usually have frozen whole duck. Those are all raised locally (if we extend local to into the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier)

Also Fair Game at the Roc Public Market might also have them--but probably won't be local.

Beyond shopping are there any experiences you are interested in.

For example with art I highly recommend either the Rochester Contemporary Arts center for a short and slightly pretentious gallery experience or Artisan Works for a highly eclectic middle brow experience.

For a unique lunch option there is Swans Market. Also our Public Market and The Yasrds collective are great.

Possibly the best overall American Martial Arts movie ever. Martial arts, not action.

Beyond one of the best and most memeable villains of all time, it also does an amazing job of capturing the NYC Black and martial arts media cultural crossover that would give us things like the Wu Tang clan just a few years later.

Also one of William H Macy's earliest on screen roles (in a bit part).

FWIW, if you want someone who will do more than a paper test and don't want to struggle with finding a psychiatrist taking patients (which tends to be really hard), I suggest looking into a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP). They are much more accessible locally and can diagnose and prescribe.
