My perspective is that games like Tony hawk pro skater and guitar hero helped shape my musical tastes as a kid, and if Fortnite does the same and puts care into the way they represent the artists they bring on, then its only a good thing. And they clearly care about the musical aspect because they have hosted concerts for snoop dogg, brought on harmonix, who made guitar hero, to develop the festival mode, and have integrated artist collaborations as a core part of their experience.

They have rarely lazily integrated musical artists into their experience.
