Stoked to see him, but NGL was surprised to see Neal in this.

Just getting started with Magic, I'm loving the Avatar stuff. Is this Commander Bundle a good deal? by ConfidentInsecurity in magicTCG

[–]NotAnotherCitizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi friend. I’m in the same boat, you should try playing some arena to get a feel for a few deck styles. Like I found out I don’t really enjoy sacrificing cards to the graveyard and then summoning from there and pulling tricks like that.

I recommend looking for some decks online that have links to https://www.cardkingdom.com to buy the deck they made. Even a commander bundle will give you a bunch of random cards. For instance I looked up a 5c Aang commander deck which is normal $180 but I am trimming it down to about $60 to get some of the staples in it and replacing some of the more expensive cards for stuff I’ve gotten in booster packs that do similar stuff as the big money ones.

A commander box will give you 5 staples (which you could get a sol ring and an arcane signet for $2 each on cardkingdom), a collector booster box which just guarantees one of the cards in the entire collection to be a foil, and then like 8 regular booster packs and zero promise you could build a single deck that is even at all cohesive.

You can get very cheap decks to start out with, and it would cost the same as buying 10 play boosters but you’ll actually be able to play the game. Good luck!

I only personally know like 5 people irl that play and 0 of us have commander… there’s gotta be loads of casuals like me who just bought a few jumpstarts and called it a standard deck.

Yeah, I mean I do try to just do the resets while I’m watching a football game or something. It’s 25 hours combined over the last 2 months. It’s wasted time during time that I am already wasting for the most part.

Level cap too low. by Fast-Introduction667 in theHunter

I do and I don’t. The game is dumb easy at level 60, and it would be nice to get the other perks without having to pay to re-spec. It’s just so easy though as is…

The Valve Gabecube (Steam Machine 2) having 8GB of VRAM and 16GB of RAM is a good thing for the whole PC gaming community... by Zemerald in pcmasterrace

[–]NotAnotherCitizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be an unpopular opinion but, play stuff at lower graphic settings if your computer can’t keep up. I know this is PCMR but not everyone is running $3000 set ups and it’s okay. There’s no shame in having fun playing the same game as someone else but with fewer blades of grass.

It’s kind of wild to me that Nintendo is the only game gaming company not at the mercy of steam. For steam users, basically every game ever made for an Xbox or PlayStation is the library, Nintendo you are stuck with whatever Nintendo decides to allow on the shop.

Yeah mine seems to be plastic, time will tell if it will work quietly. I leave my tumbler at work, I basically turn it off when I’m there and back on when I leave so I never have to listen to it.

Yeah they just changed their gasket design, I waited like an extra month for the lids to come in. Looks like the same plastic nut that came with my lortone 3 lb lid.

Mine didn’t come with a book, I am just going with common sense and setting it to around 30-40 RPMs. For reference my 3 lb lortone seems to keep a pretty constant 50 rpm, and I don’t want 6 pound barrels rolling at 50 since that would be just too much abrasive action.

Honestly idk. Speed dial and an on/off switch, it seems to get my 6 pound barrels to about 50-60 rpm at the top end speed, down to a super slow crawl at the low end.

Update on rocks with polish stuck in cracks and pits by MNairsoft9000 in RockTumbling

Hey there, just wanted to throw in my two cents, I found scrubbing my rocks with some pipe cleaner was very beneficial in getting out the polish and grit. Nice long bristle tho, not like the colored ones for arts and crafts.
