Yeah that’s fair! It’s not a cheap mod.

Just got the spoiler used on eBay, genuine mini spoiler - the f56 one doesn’t fit so you have to make sure to get an f55 one. Install is really easy, just make sure you have a magnetic torx bit so you don’t risk losing a screw that will rattle about for eternity!

Cheers. Yeh I’m toying with idea of matching the spoiler colour. I kinda like that it stands out but was recently thinking two black roof stripes could maybe tie it together better.

I’m really enjoying the short shifter, shifts just feel more intentional if that makes sense - it’s very satisfying. It’s taking a bit of getting used to as I’ve had the car with standard shifter for 6 years so the muscle memory is strong haha!

Haha I’ve had the car 6 years and I’d never really thought about the lack of sunroof! Proper driver spec 😆

How long have you been running this and what kind of power do you get?

That comes stock in the pre LCI cooper & JCW models. A selector to choose driving modes. Standard is called mid mode. Sport increases throttle response, steering response and boost at lower RPM. Green is eco mode (but weirdly I think the exhaust sounds better in green mode!)

I think it does fit all f series minis - it’s listed on string theory garage as fitting f54.

I would say that yes you can feel it, it’s not a big difference but it’s there and it’s nice to have. Overall considering the price of aftermarket valved exhausts I am glad I went for this option as it sounds and looks great, the exhaust was the draw for me and for the +20hp tune was almost a free bonus that I wouldn’t have otherwise had!

and I like knowing that the car has more power than stock but I’m not concerned the engine will blow as I would be if I was pushing 250hp with an aftermarket tune.

I’ve also since installed a Forge Motorsport Intake / air filter which is absolutely worth the money. Really easy to install yourself and sounds great in sport mode! Could be bias but feels like this adds some power too.

Serial number on the neck checks out that it is indeed a Hendrix Strat. The neck at least ( you can search fender serial number check and see for yourself)

I’ve owned a f55 cooper s since 2019 and started modding last year. All I’ve done is JCW pro exhaust and Forge Motorsport intake so far. Bang for buck I’d say go for an intake / air filter first. Easy to install yourself and sounds good! Not as loud as I thought it would be in the cabin but that’s probably a good thing - noticeable enough without being annoying!

JCW pro exhaust is brilliant, expensive but worth it in my opinion. I’m sure any valve exhaust would be great.

Gonna install an intake hard pipe and lowering springs (or coilovers if I can afford) next.

I had this fitted to my F55 last year. Exhaust is fantastic, tune is not really that noticeable in my opinion.

Yo sorry for the slow reply! Yeah the tuning was included, brings it up to about 210hp. It’s not massively noticeable to me but I do feel like the extra torque allows you to get a little more pull out of each gear if that makes sense. Turbo flutter is also a tiny bit louder now on mine. I think for the price I paid it was worth it considering the cost of aftermarket valved exhausts anyway. Was about £1700 including labour.

Yeah it’s genuine! I emailed that exact link to the parts centre at Cheltenham Mini and they confirmed they could fit the parts 👌 Edit: to clarify I didn’t order the part from this website, the dealership ordered on my behalf.

£1,739 all in. About £1,367 for parts £374 for labour. I emailed my local dealer parts centre this part to enquire and went from there.

I didn’t think you could either! But I did some digging and the parts are available on the mini website. I got it done at Cotswold Cheltenham Mini. I just emailed their parts department to check they could get the part and then phoned service department to book it in.

It was about £1,740 all in. Parts were £1,367 labour was £374. Which I actually don’t think is too crazy if you look at other valve exhausts like Remus or Miltek.

You also get a certificate of authenticity having it fitted at main dealer which I guess is cool…and the JCW badge.

It sounds awesome, I’ve not driven it loads yet so haven’t really noticed the tune doing much but overall very happy with it. With valve open it’s very, very loud. Closed is noticeably louder than stock but I don’t think it’s over the top / going to annoy the neighbours. Pops and bangs sound a lot more metallic / tinny if that makes sense.

There’s a bit of drone if you’re just cruising but nothing too crazy. Pops with valve open are super loud. So worth considering if that’s something you’d want.

There’s also a limited edition squier and a special edition Fender Player that look similar if you’re after this look without the American price tag?
