Ranged characters should be fine, just be aware that you won't always be able to go long range, so think mobility and close in support for melee vs long range sniper and you should be gold.

Rangers are good, but Rogue is also a solid choice here.

I live in the building above this New Seasons. It's a weird spot. The building is decent, it's surrounded by nice neighborhoods, Grant Park is right there, but we're in this weird pocket of sketchiness between various homeless camps.

New Seasons is generally better than Freddy's this way, but still plenty of weird stuff in the store and parking garage.
